The investigation with the suspect revealed that the goal of the breach was to collect data from what he heard by virtue of his position, and to identify possible recruits.

2. A breach was discovered within Hezbullah, after the recruitment of a reserve fighter who participated in missions in Syria. The suspect was arrested by Hezbullah's security apparatus, and the investigation revealed that he had been recruited by a UN-like NGO.

⋯ 3. A spy was discovered in Damascus, a Syrian, arrested by the Syrian security services in coordination with Hezbullah's security apparatus. He admitted that he was monitoring civilian, military and commercial headquarters, and providing road and building maps of the Syrian capital.

4. The existence of a focused spying effort on Hamas groups in the camps of Lebanon was discovered. It aimed at monitoring some places that could be designated for military use. The suspect, a Hamas member, might have been responsible for the explosion at the mosque in Burj Al-Shamali camp, near Tyre, on 10 ⁠December 2021.

The financial payments were received through money transfer companies (Western Union, OMT). The source of the funds was from different countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia.

The detainees are distributed among the Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian nationalities. The Lebanese are of all sects (Sunnis, Shiites, Druze and Christians), and worked from most Lebanese regions, from Bint Jbeil in the south, to Tripoli in the north.

⋯ It turned out that one of the detainees, is from Tripoli, justified his dealings with the enemy by saying that he hated Hezbollah and was "ready to do anything against the party."...

⋯ He admitted that he took the initiative to contact the Israelis, who took him at one stage to Jordan, where he underwent specialized courses and a polygraph examination, and then was trained in the use of UAVs. He was provided with one of them and used it in some of his tasks.

Another spy confessed that he shipped Lebanese SIM cards to an Israeli contact outside Lebanon.

Other spies were asked to rent apartments and lands, and stash the keys at certain locations. The locations were meant to host Israeli Mossad teams.
