⋯ The goal was to infiltrate the post-‌17-October political movement, and to direct the blame on certain politicians and parties.

It became evident with the lack of focus on Hariri, Berri, Joumblatt, as well as the banking sector in general. It was meant to boil down to the 2022 parliamentary and presidential elections, where Hezbullah and its Christian allies would lose enough representation, that would make them vulnerable to cruel measures by the new powers in authority.

⋯ Saudi Arabia and the USA favor a new face to 14-March, and that's exactly what most NGOs and old rebranding political parties represent.

Broadly, a 14-March ideology represents an anti-Syrian anti-Hezbullah pro-west political stance.

⋯ The 2022 elections are supposed to assist hardcore pro-14-March political figures to reach the presidency, and anti-Hezbullah political parties to win a sizeable majority in the parliament.

It would bring enough momentum to carry out bold decisions, such as that of the 5th of May 2008. Then, a much weaker personality such as Fouad Siniora was able to give an order to prison Hezbullah's SG Hassan Nasrallah and confiscate Hezbullah's telecommunications network.

⋯ Imagine what war criminal Samir Geagea would do. He has become the attention focus of the USA & Gulf, since the “star” of the Hariri family and Future Movement has faded. He is the one receiving the generous funding that Hariri once enjoyed. Israel sees him no different than how the USA and Saudi Arabia view him. After all, he's an old ally.

⋯ In a recent report by the Israeli media, the Israeli political establishment conveyed a message to Lebanon. After their offer to assist the Lebanese army, which they do not see as a threat, and after offering energy and gas, they are ready for political allies.

⋯ This was an inevitable outcome. If you follow Israeli media and how they cover Lebanese news, you will find great emphasis on their reporting on anti-Hezbullah rhetoric and political statements. They see them as natural allies against "Iran 's proxy up in the north".
