It's an overkill in terms of air defense, with a ratio of 5 Tamir interceptors per rocket, instead of the textbook procedure of 2 per incoming threat.

As pointed out by @‌‌‎allushiii_new, the Gazan anti-aircraft fire was directed towards the settlements and, at the same time, a few rockets were fired, causing the Iron Dome radars to miscalculate the threats.
