According to the results in Tripoli, Faisal Karami lost his seat.

Um Al-Fahm municipality in occupied Palestine protests against IDF's plan to simulate an occupation war against Hezbullah by training in the city, stating the psychological effect and how this will engrave in the IDF soldier's minds the stereotype that the city is terrorist.

Faisal Karami lost his seat by an 8 votes difference.

⋯ Walid Joumblat's party won 9 seats, including 2 in Beirut II, an increase of a seat from 2018's results.

⋯ FPM's Haidar Issa despite getting 3,948 votes lost to his rival that got only 324 votes.

FPM's list only achieved 3 quotients.

Schools are closed today in Tripoli, and north Lebanon in general as a precautionary measure in case any security incident happens over the results of the elections.

⋯ The Lebanese army has deployed in Tripoli as a precautionary measure after the final election results have been announced.

⋯ After nominating 65 candidates and wining none, MMFD's Nahas in a tweet:

"Elections are a phase, as long as we realize that it is only theatrics to renew the legitimacy of those in power. This theatrical play ended today."

MMFD got ~20k votes all over Lebanon and diaspora.

Hezbullah SG Sayed Hasan Nasrallah will speak on Friday at 5:00 pm on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hezbullah's commander Sayed Mustafa BadrIddine.

In finalized results, the new opposition won 13 seats, on par with Hezbullah's bloc of 13 seats.

🚨 IDF downed a small drone flown by Hezbullah over the border area.

The drone was likely monitoring the IDF drills.

⋯ Israel has an effective anti commercial-drone system, that can allow them to take control of it mid-air.

MP Firas Salloum (Alawite seat - On an opposition list):

"My ideology is Arabist, and represents the resistance that defended Lebanon from the Zionist enemy which still occupies our land. It is our right to maintain the source of our strength [Weapons]."

Hezbullah's party got a total of 16 seats, including 3 close allies but not party members. An increase from 2018's results:

- 13 Shia members who are Hezbullah party members

- 1 independent Shia (Jamil Al-Sayed)

- 2 independent Sunnis (Yanal al-Solh and Melhem Hujairi)

⋯ Update on Hezbullah's numbers:

They got 335,466 votes, just 1,000 increase than 2018's. They averaged 28,000/candidate.

This excludes the 10,000+ votes given to Jamil Al-Sayed in Baalbek and the allies all around Lebanon.

⬆️ A very shy increase considering the population growth of the Shia community and the the number of those who reached 21 in 2022, but were younger than that in 2018? However, this election had a much lower turnout.

Elias Jaradeh, the opposition candidate who won the Christian Orthodox seat in South ⁠III (Nabatiyeh-‌Marjayoun-‌Hasbaya-‌Bint Jbeil) told Al-Manar: “There is a necessity to protect the resistance and its achievements and the blood of its martyrs”.

This makes Firas Hamdan the only pro-Israel anti-Hezbullah MP in South Lebanon.

The USD exchange rate rose back to 30,000 USD/LBP.

Further increase is excepted.
