On 16 July, the leader of ‘Jewish Power’ MP Itamar Ben-Gvir said on Channel 12: “The solution is very simple. When one rocket is fired at us, we respond with 50 rockets towards sensitive and deadly areas, and do not hit the sand dunes, but kill as many of them as possible.”
On the eve, Gaza fired rockets in retaliation to IDF bombing an area in Gaza (hours after the departure of Joe Biden!). Last month, Ben-Gvir said he would return official death penalty for “Palestinian terrorists” and promote a law “to provide immunity for all Israeli soldiers”, adding that there would be “no use for Israeli prisons”.
Ben-Gvir is a close ally of Netanyahu, who has been gearing up for the elections of November under the slogan: “Arabs are taking over the country”.
