Friday, 6 August 1982: At 1pm, Israeli aircraft appeared in the skies of the capital Beirut, and after two rounds of reconnaissance, raided the area of Sanaeh, specifically the Akar building located south of the Ministry of Information on George Assi Street, consisting of seven floors. This happened exactly 40 years ago, today. The aftermath of the massacre was captured by Jean Chamoun and Mai Masri, during the filming of “Under the Rubble”, a documentary about the siege of Beirut. (By: @fllf_research)
