A letter on 26 Dec signed by 1,197 air force officers, former chief-of-staff Halutz, former air force commander Ben-Nun, and former IDF intelligence chief Yadlin, is urging Chief Justice Hayut and Attorney-General Baharav-Miara to stop Netanyahu's next government, in fear that it may "destroy Israel’s democracy".
Walla News' Barak Ravid revealed today that senior US Jewish organizations expressed discontent at Netanyahu's allies during a meeting at the Israeli embassy on 7 Dec. They censured Itamar Ben-Gvir (Jewish Power party leader), Bezalel Smotrich (Tkuma leader), their new power over the West Bank, the attempts to alter the Law of Return and the Conversion Law. This could severely impact American Jewry, and also discredit converts in multiple Jewish schools.
