The Central Bank announces that the exchange rate on the Sayrafa platform will be increased from 38,000 LBP/USD to 42,000 LBP/USD.

Senior financial sources predict that the exchange rate will soon skyrocket, especially because there are no real solutions on the horizon.

Unconfirmed reports that Gaza's Lions' Den group claims responsibility for the rocket fired towards Sderot, in retaliation for the Israelis' cruel treatment of female Palestinian prisoners.

Touch and Alfa's latest prepaid line costs in accordance to the Sayrafa exchange rate.

Last price increase, both removed the 30 free minutes of talk time that were given with line recharges without informing customers. Thankfully, there are no benefits left to remove this time.

The Dept of Economy in South Lebanon, with help from security forces, confiscated 400 litres of fresh cow's milk which contained insects, and 190 Kg of labneh which failed to meet health requirements in a dairy and cheese factory in Sidon.

Samples were taken to labs for testing.

The storm's strong winds and hail resulted in damage to crops & orchards, greenhouses, support walls, and some houses' roofs (pictured) in the south. Roadside shops were also severely damaged in the town of Deir Qanoun, and a wall gave way in the town of Qennarit (pictured).

Many Lebanese manufacturers have resorted to cheating customers for more profits amid the failing economy. Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Mohamad Abou Haidar, revealed a few of their immoral tactics.

⋯ Some dairy manufacturers have taken to adding starch to labneh, causing it to weight up to 50% more. Others are using cheap vegetable oils which are hazardous to health. Meanwhile, some butchers are cheating customers by selling imported Indian meat as fresh local meat.

⋯ Besides food, detergents being made using cheaper methods have become highly saline, enough to damage washing machines.

The Ministry of Economy has been reporting offenders to the judiciary, and such products are removed from markets for the sake of food safety.

After refusing to abide by judicial orders to return 2 people's deposits in their currency (USD), Fransabank announced the closure of all branches starting today.

Judicial execution sealed its coffers with red wax. Assets will be auctioned unless the bank abides by the orders.
