Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Caesarea Massacre carried out by Zionist militias in the Palestinian village of Caesarea, located a few kilometers to the south of Haifa, in 1948.
The Caesarea Massacre took place on February 15, 1948, with armed Zionist gangs raiding the village, demolishing its homes and forcibly displacing its residents, who numbered about 1,350 people at the time. Those who refused to leave were gunned down.
Caesarea was reportedly the first village in which an organized campaign aimed at expelling its Palestinian population was carried out by the Haganah, the main Zionist paramilitary organization pre-1948.

🚨 Israel approved law to deport Arab citizens or residents if ‘terror’
The Knesset in an overwhelming vote (94 to 10) has allowed the government to revoke citizenship & residency from convicts of “terror, aiding terror, harming sovereignty” whose families receive funding from the Palestinian Authority—making the law inapplicable to Jewish terrorists.
The Times of Israel says the bill was sponsored by MK Ofir Katz (Likud) and opposition’s right-wing and center-left lawmakers. It allows to revoke citizenship even if it makes Arab citizens stateless, provided they have a residence status outside of Israel—e.g. in the West Bank.
Legal experts told Middle East Eye the policy amounts to a war crime. It notably affects the situation of Palestinian residents of Jerusalem.
