The presence of the Shin Bet indicates the Israeli emphasis on the involvement of Palestinian factions in the attack.

Usually this is a standard response before any IDF decision on retaliation, if any.

“Any Zionist aggression, whether military or security, that targets any area in Lebanon or person, whether he is Lebanese, Palestinian, or of any other nationality, the resistance will certainly & swiftly retaliate.”

⋯ Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant “instructed the IDF to prepare all possible options of retaliation for the rocket attack from Lebanon and present them to the security cabinet tonight”.

Seen next to him are the head of Mossad, the head of Shin Bet, and the CoS of the army.

Israel informed the UN and UNIFIL that it will respond.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid: “The opposition will give the government full backing for a harsh response by the IDF and the security forces.”

Israel attack is expected, with all parties waiting to see magnitude and targets.

Any attack on Lebanon is expected to be retaliated by Hezbullah.
