Earlier today, the Israeli army informed the UNIFIL that it intends to remove the Hezbullah tents by force if needed, even if this leads to a war.
Israeli media Walla reported that one of the two Hezbullah tents in the Shebaa Farms area has been moved to Lebanese territory. The defense establishment estimated that Hezbullah is attempting to avoid a confrontation.
Though one tent has been withdrawn, all 8 armed Hezbullah fighters have remained by the other tent inside Israeli-occupied territory.

Today's escalation unfolded hours after a statement by Hezbullah that condemned Israel's annexation of the Lebanese village of Al-Ghajar, that has been occupied since 2006 under military rule.
As L'Orient-Today wrote (on 5 July), «over the weekend, Israel absorbed the Lebanese part of Ghajar, a town on the border between Lebanon and the Syrian Golan Heights. Occupied by Israel, this Alawite village, through which the Blue Line crosses, was completely cut off from Lebanon after the Israeli army constructed a fence to the north of the village. This violated Resolution no. 1701 and evoked general indifference.»
The alleged rocket targeted the village area.
