Meanwhile, clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli forces continue near Mefalsim and Sderot, close to the Gaza border. Gunfire is heard in the area.

IDF also says it had shelled two more Hezbollah posts on the Lebanon border in response to the rockets.

🚨 Hezbullah statement on their ATGM attack:

“In response to the Israeli attacks that targeted a number of observation points affiliated with the Islamic Resistance, our fighters this evening targeted an Israeli Zelda M-113 APC at the Al-Sadah site west of the town of Salha (the colony called Avivim) with two guided missiles, and it was hit and completely destroyed.”

🚨 Israel's Shin Bet security agency names another three members killed in Hamas attacks, totalling 8 since the war began.

They are aged 36, 26 (killed while fighting) and 38 (killed in her home).

🚨 Israeli death toll rises to 1,000, with over 2,900 wounded according to public broadcaster Kan.

🚨 The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announces 850 martyrs and 4,250 wounded.

Earlier, IDF said it has killed 1,500 Palestinian fighters in Israeli territory.

Context:

The US has credible information that Hezbullah is considering joining the war, taking advantage of the shock the IDF is facing to cause a blow to the northern settlements.

However, they are waiting for justifiable context to involve Lebanon.

The US estimates that the Israeli army will be unable to fight on two fronts, especially the northern where Hezbullah capabilities are folds better then Hamas's.

The US estimates a credible existential threat to the statehood of Israel if Hezbullah and other allies join.

The group's war doctrine is to annihilate the Israeli army.

In Hezbullah's understanding, the upcoming war has to be the the one that seriously puts a nail in the coffin in Israel's statehood. However such war will be too costly, thus they have to analyse well when to pay the price.

In a couple of days, the casualties in Gaza will surpass those of the Israelis.

The Israeli army has been clear on its goal to punish and kill Gazans, and has been given the greenlight by all Western Nations.

The death toll faced by Israel is shocking to the world, and a huge success to the Palestinians. Thus in their (Palestinians) calculation, a few folds more Palestinians dead to kill that many Israelis and then liberate thousands of prisoners, is a good price to be paid.

I would like to note something important. After the war ends, the casualties in Gaza will witness a sudden increase when Hamas and PIJ announce their casualties, of whom many are lost in Israel and some underground.

It's estimated that several hundreds are dead and their bodies are in Israeli possession.

After the first wave of attacks that involved less then a 100 Hamas fighter, the shocking success and ease, drove hundreds of soldiers from many factions alongside dozens of civilians and journalists into Israeli territory.
