Israel's Dahyeh doctrine now in Gaza: when using TERROR is kosher

In 2008, General Eizenkot outlined what he called the “Dahyeh doctrine” as an extreme degree of “deterrence by punishment”. He warned that IDF's large-scale destruction of civilian-only assets and terror inflicted in 2006 to one million residents in Beirut's Dahyeh suburb shall be renewed.

“We will apply disproportionate force [on the south of Lebanon]”, Eizenkot said, “These are not civilian villages.”

Ronen Bergman mentions the “historical continuity” of this doctrine that is de facto Jewish terrorism.

Update: Al-Manar reports that NO rockets or mortars were fired from Lebanon.

Hamas Military Spox Abu Obaida:

"We started this battle for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa since the 'Swords for Jerusalem' and expanded it to free the prisoners."

He added that "We have increased our coordination with the Axis of Resistance to everything that concerns the future of our cause.

IDF publishes footage showing troops of the Navy's elite Shayetet 13 commando unit retaking the Sufa military post on the Gaza border from Palestinian fighters on Saturday.

The use of the Shayetet 13 in such an operation displays the dire situation that was on the ground that day. Shayetet's role was never intended for such operations.

Rocket attack in Be'er Sheva, southern Israel.

Israeli journalist Almong Boker reports that the town of Sderot in southern Israel will be evacuated as has the rest of the Gaza border communities in the envelope around the area.

In the surprise attack carried out by Hamas, lethal means made by Iran were used but were unknown to the Israeli security establishment.

Among other things, air-thermal fuel bombs were used, which after detonation cause a fire at an extremely high temperature.

The same bombs were dropped by drones at Merkavas tanks, destroying their sensors and blinding the tanks and Trophy system.

Earlier this year , the Israeli Navy bought 2 American landing vessels to boost IDF's capacity to stage raids from sea.

The Landing craft are used primarily to transport and tactically deploy soldiers, equipment, vehicles, and supplies from ship to shore for the conduct of offensive military operations.

The landing craft will be embedded with a new squadron formed by the INF at the Ashdod Naval Base.

Yet another false alarm in the north, with no rockets fired from Lebanon, making it the 3rd for today.

The IDF fired several illumination flares.

Additional flares being fired near Kiryat Shmona facing Lebanon.

The Lebanese government sent a message to the UN about Israel's violation of Lebanese sovereignty, and stressed that the decision of war and peace isn't in its hands but in the hands of the Islamic Resistance - Hezbullah. (Al-Jadeed news)
