🔴 Canadian airforce in Lebanon. Why?

The Canadian airforce plane that landed in Beirut evacuated many Canadian nationals and non-essential embassy personnel.

The plane however have unloaded a cargo of weapons and ammunition that was moved to the Canadian embassy.

🔴 Hamas's Al-Qassam military wing issued a statement announcing they are engaging Israeli ground forces in Beit Hanoun and Briej area in Gaza.

This coincides with massive and intense Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

🔴 The Israeli army informed international news organizations, including Reuters and Agence France-Presse, that it cannot guarantee the safety of its journalists working in the Gaza Strip.

🔴 The US Department of State issued a new statement asking US citizens to leave Lebanon ASAP.

The statement added:

- There is no guarantee the U.S. government will evacuate private U.S. citizens and their family members in a crisis situation.

- In the event that a U.S. military-assisted evacuation does occur, our focus will be on helping U.S. citizens.

- The U.S. government generally cannot provide in-country transportation during a crisis. That includes transportation to points of departure.
