🗣️ Hezbullah issued the following statement to mourn the martyrdom of the senior Iranian advisor killed today:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

This Monday afternoon, 25/12/2023, the Zionist enemy committed a new crime added to its record of crimes and attacks, which is the crime of assassinating the dear brother, Brigadier General Sayyed Radhi al-Musawi, in Syria, who was working as a military advisor there, and we consider this assassination a blatant and shameless attack and exceeding the limits.

The happy martyr, Sayyed Radhi al-Musawi, was one of the best brothers who worked to support the Islamic resistance in Lebanon for decades of his honorable life, dedicated to serving the resistance and its mujahideen.

He was a companion in arms and path to the martyr commander, Lieutenant General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, may God Almighty have mercy on them. ‏

We extend our condolences to His Eminence the Leader, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards in Iran, the honorable family of the martyr, and the general self-sacrificing and honorable Iranian people, and we ask God Almighty to join him with the righteous martyrs who preceded him on the path of resistance, jihad, and giving.

Additionally, they claimed an air defence missile was fired towards an Israeli aircraft (they didn't say jet or UAV). The missile missed according to the statement.

📹 Hezbullah released a video compilation of nostalgic scenes of its operations against the Israeli army during the occupation era, the 2006 war, and concluded it with scenes from this current battle.

📃 According to Israeli media, a soldier died from an infection to a wound due to some bacteria in the soil in Gaza.

Evidently, it looks intact and no direct attack into the church as claimed. The attack was against an armed guard in the compound of this church.

This was confirmed by a senior Israeli military correspondent, who confirmed he is a guard. He then adds that Hezbullah then proceeded to attack the soldiers that came to his rescue.

Hezbullah claimed an attack on soldiers at 1.00 pm on near Shomeera barracks.

📃 UPDATE: Remarkably, it is safe to say Israelis lied and no attack took place on the church.

This old photo from years ago confirms the church is intact, and that damaged wall in the middle is old.

Additionally, the church falls in the village of Irqat that was ethnically cleansed by Jews, and its Christian population forced to move to Lebanon.

The village was then fully destroyed by the Israeli army in 1951 when the Israeli supreme court allowed those who remained in Israel to go back to their home. There was no home to go back to.
