📑 US military drafts plans for war with the Axis of the Resistance

Biden administration officials are drawing up plans for the U.S. to respond to what they’re increasingly concerned could expand from a war in Gaza to a wider, protracted regional conflict.

Four officials familiar with the matter, including a senior administration official, described internal conversations about scenarios that could potentially draw the U.S. into another Middle East war. 

The potential for wider conflict is growing, officials said, following a series of confrontations in Iraq, Lebanon and Iran over the past several days.

Those have convinced some in the administration that the war in Gaza has officially escalated far beyond the strip’s borders — a scenario the U.S. has tried to avoid for months.

Tensions in the region ratcheted up even higher on Thursday after the Biden administration launched a drone strike in Baghdad that killed leader Mushtaq Taleb al-Saidi, or “Abu Taqwa,” and at least one other militant, according to two Defense Department officials.

The scramble inside the administration to draw up reports on potential points of attacks and possible U.S. responses this week came as a result of orders from the top echelons of the administration over fears that the violence in the region will only continue to grow and that Washington will eventually have to intervene.

In Deir Balah on 1 January, a civilian received a call from the Israeli army to flee to a "safe zone". He compiles, packs, and goes through the road designated for him.

The moment he reaches a road junction, he was attacked by a drone or a tank shell. He was killed.

His brother rushes to retrieve him. Save or evacuate him if still alive, but he was also murdered.

Their cousin rushes to save them. He was killed.

It was a total chaos, during the discussion of the "the next day", where investigations will take place and responsibilities alongside blame directed at some.

The discussion heated when the army officially decides to set up an internal investigation commission for the 7/10 failures, headed by former general and defense minister Shaul Mofaz, alongside others.

Chief of Staff Halevi tried to fend off the ministers' criticism: something happened here that the army should learn from. Tomorrow, if an incident happens in another sector [Lebanon] we want to understand what went wrong in the chain of command. I am not doing the investigation with the national conclusions, but an investigation by the army [internal].

📖 Something that went under the radar, but it seems that the apartment which was targeted to kill Hamas leader in Beirut, Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, was a known office for the group.

At least known for Israel.

The office was fully evacuated on the 7th of October, and was only used again the night of the assassination. The attack killed 4 Palestinians and 3 Lebanese Sunnis affiliated with Hamas.

The office was first discovered publicly, some time ago, in the Lebanese security forces' trannoscripts of investigations with spies arrested in Lebanon, who worked for the Mossad.

Additionally, an Israeli attack cut the road between Maroun Al-Ras village and Bint Jbeil.

This most likely includes unfit mentally in addition to physical disabilities from injuries sustained at war.

All attempts to move away from conflict zones is now routed to the coastal road, which the Israeli navy is attacking non-stop.

You can go there if you survive moving from inside the cities through the open lands and abandoned areas on daring roads towards that area.

Movement is all directed towards the Egyptian border. No movement allowed to north, central, or southern Gaza only.

🗣️ The speech of Hezbullah's SG Sayed Hassan Nasrallah concluded a few earlier.

It tackled many important points after giving an eulogy for Mohammed Yaghi, a senior Hezbullah leader and aid for its leadership who died of sickness.

The speech talked about Lebanon's front and the true scene, from the actual damage it's causing to Israel to them hiding the many deaths and injuries.

It also tackles the number of attacks done and on what bases, confirming many attacks aren't being taken credit for in the daily statement. Highest day was 23 attacks, an a average of 6 a day.

The speech also discusses Iraq, and the government's opportunity to end the US presence there, which would collapse US logistics and presence in Syria.

It also tackles Yemen, and how their actions contributed positively to more unification of the nation

Concludes with saying for the first time since 1948, Hezbullah or other resistance factions initiate an attack on Israel rather than reacting, and the first time Israel bound itself to retaliation.

That today, they attacked and Israel doesn't touch Beirut like it used to do before, attacking whole residential buildings in response to the simplest events on the border

Ends with a promise to retaliate the murder of Sheikh Saleh, states that the decision was taken long ago and the military commanders are just waiting for their prey.

Adds that if they don't act, whole Lebanon will become vulnerable to Israeli assassinations.
