There is an ongoing dispute at the top of the political echelon over the decision to continue the war and or to negotiate the return of the abductees.

In Israel, these two goals seems to be running parallel targets, in the opposite direction.

In the discussions that took place  two days, war cabinet minister Gadi Eizenkot addressed others in what was described as a scolding speech:

"We need to stop lying to ourselves, show courage and lead to a big deal that will bring the abductees home."

He would add that the time of the hostages is running out, and the longer  Israeli continues to fight, the higher the risk more hostages would die.

"There is no need to continue in the same way as blind people while the kidnapped are there, it is a critical time to make brave decisions otherwise we have nothing to look for here."

His words were rediculed by Netanyahu and Gallant, who claimed that only fighting will persuade Hamas to negotiate under Israel terms.

According to a statement by the Israeli occupation army, a decision has been taken to withdraw the 36th Division from Gaza for a refreshment and training period.

This includes the Golani Brigade, the 7th Brigade, the 188th Brigade, the 6th Brigade, and the Engineering Crops brigades.

Israeli media states that:

"The withdrawal of the division comes as part of the IDF's plans to be able to fight a long war against Hamas, while maintaining the troops' competence."

The 36th Division operated in northern Gaza, and operated alongside 162nd Division who will stay there.

On the other hand, the 99th Division will operate in the central sector while the 98th Division will work in Khan Younis.

📑 The Israeli army issued a statement announcing they have targeted a Hezbullah cell that fired an anti-tank missile from Lebanon towards Malkiah settlement.

The statement claims that the strike was carried out within an hour of the attack.

Remarkably, the latter part of the statement debunks earlier claims from the war that the Israeli army has perfected procedures to hunt down and track ATGMs cells instantly.

An example of that is the attack on Meron Mount, where 22 long-range ATGMs were fired and tracked for minutes, yet the attack was never foiled, and the absolute majority survived.

More than 300 ATGMs have been fired in the past 3 months, and the stocks are too deep to be bothered yet.
