📑 Israeli Minister of the Interior to the meets locals authorities in the Haifa area

Against the backdrop of the rise in tensions and escalation in the northern sector, the Minister of Interior in the Israeli government, Moshe Arbel, met in the city of Haifa with the heads of the Haifa region in the Home Front Command.

The meeting also involved the mayors of Haifa, Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Yam, Kiryat Bialik, and Nesher.

Arbel said during the meeting:

"We are preparing for a long battle in the north [Lebanon], and to win the war you need a strong background and strong local leadership.”

Israeli War Minister Gallant carried out an assessment of the readiness of the northern sector to expand the military campaign.

He met the deputy commander of the Israeli army and the Home Front command in the IDF, which is responsible for civilian affairs.

“We have to be prepared for the deterioration of the security situation in the north, and for the fact that we will have to.”

Gallant stressed on the importance of preparedness in the northern region, including the city of Haifa, for the possible deterioration of the security situation with Hezbullah into a large-scale campaign.

The minister stressed the safety of the reserves and ways to maintain the economy even in the event of escalation.

📝 Evidently, the situation is deteriorating as the meeting today between local leaders in Haifa with the minister of defense and interior is not for nothing.

The rhetoric and local meetings only indicate a real will to engage Lebanon and Hezbullah in a matter that can escalate to a full fledged war.

Alon adds that the Israeli Air Force attacked the exposed infrastructure, but soon discovered that not even a worthful single % of Hezbullah's infrastructure was effected.

Alon would then argue that this hidden infrastructures can only be destroyed through ground action, something like what Israel attempted to in 2006, as no agreement will lead to Hezbullah dismantling its abilities there.
