بمناسبة الذكرى السنوية الثامنة عشر لانتصار تموز 2006 أصدر حزب الله البيان ‏التالي: ‏

يستعيد أشرف الناس ذكرى حرب تموز العظيمة ووعدها الصادق ونصرها الإلهي ‏والشهداء الذين سطروا ‏بدمائهم ملحمة البطولة الصادقة والدفاع المشرف عن لبنان ‏وشعبه، وما يستحقون من كرامة وعزة، ‏والعودة المظفرة في 14 آب إلى بيوتهم ‏فوق الركام والدمار والتي أعادوا بناءها بهمم الرجال وصدق ‏الاوفياء أجمل مما ‏كانت، لينطلقوا من بعدها في مسيرة مظفرة ومستمرة شعارها الأساس "قد ولى ‏زمن ‏الهزائم وجاء زمن الانتصارات‎ ‌‏"‌‎.‎

لقد حفرت ذكرى الحرب في تموز عام 2006 عميقًا في الوعي والوجدان ‏الصهيوني إذ عجزت آلة القتل ‏الإسرائيلية والدعم الأمريكي غير المحدود والحملة ‏الدبلوماسية الدولية غير المسبوقة والتواطؤ الداخلي ‏المعيب عن إلحاق الهزيمة ‏بالمقاومة الإسلامية في لبنان وكسر إرادة مجاهديها بعد 33 يومًا من التدمير ‏الفتاك ‏في مسرح العمليات على امتداد الأراضي اللبنانية دون أن تُحقّق أياً من أهدافها، ‏مما انعكس سلباً ‏على مُجمل نواحي الحياة السياسية في كيان العدو وعلى إرادة ‏الجيش الصهيوني ومعنوياته وخططه ‏المستقبلية وعلى معنويات الإسرائيليين داخل ‏الكيان وخارجه، وعلى صورة إسرائيل كيانًا مؤقتًا أمام نفسه ‏وأمام العالم.‏

إن انتصار تموز جعل من المقاومة في لبنان قوة يحسب لها العدو وحلفاؤه ألف ‏حساب، فلن تكون أرض ‏لبنان أبدًا مرة أخرى تحت الاحتلال ولن يكون لبنان ‏رهينة لإرادة العدو ولن يشرع أبوابه للتطبيع أبداً ‏ونهائياً بعدما ترك قادة المقاومة ‏لا سيما الشهداء منهم آلاف الاستشهاديين الكربلائيين من الأجيال الجديدة ‏الذين ‏تسلّحوا بالإرادة والعزيمة الصادقة والإيمان الراسخ، وازدانوا بالعلم والمعرفة، ‏وباتت المقاومة عدةً ‏وعديدًا أكثر عزمًا وأقوى شكيمةً في الدفاع عن لبنان وشعبه ‏ومقدراته وما يستحق هذا الوطن العزيز في ‏الحياة الحرة الكريمة والشريفة.‏

واليوم على عتبة التحولات التاريخية الكبرى في المنطقة والتي كانت شرارتها ‏عمليه طوفان الأقصى ‏المظفرة واستنادًا إلى النصر العظيم والنتائج التاريخية ‏والعبر والدروس المستقاة من حرب تموز، فإنّ ‏المقاومة الإسلامية في لبنان وبعد ما ‏قدمت ولا تزال الكثير من التضحيات في ساحة الشرف والبطولة ‏على طريق ‏القدس تؤكد أنها لا تزال ملتزمة بثوابتها بشكل قاطع ونهائي ومعها كافة جبهات ‏الإسناد في ‏محور المقاومة بالوقوف إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني المظلوم ومنع ‏العدو من تحقيق أهدافه، وأنها بالرغم ‏من التهديدات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة ‏وحاملات الطائرات الأميركية والاغتيالات والحملات الإعلامية ‏الداخلية والخارجية ‏ستواصل بكل شجاعة وحكمة وبكل ما أوتيت من قوة ومقدرات وما تملك من ‏مفاجآت ‏الدفاع عن لبنان وعن الشعب اللبناني وحريته وإرداته بالعيش الكريم ‏الآمن، وأنّ ما تعد به تفيه حقه أحسن ‏الوفاء والله على ما تقول شهيد.‏

📄 On the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the July 2006 victory, Hezbullah issued the following statement:

The most honorable people recall the memory of the great July War, its truthful promise, its divine victory, and the martyrs who, with their blood, wrote the epic of sincere heroism and honorable defense of Lebanon and its people, deserving dignity and honor. They returned triumphantly on August 14 to their homes amid the rubble and destruction, which they rebuilt with the determination of men and the sincerity of the faithful, better than they were before, to embark thereafter on a victorious and ongoing journey under the central slogan: "The era of defeats has ended, and the era of victories has begun."

The memory of the July 2006 war has been deeply engraved in the Zionist consciousness and awareness, as the "Israeli" killing machine, with unlimited American support, an unprecedented international diplomatic campaign, and disgraceful internal collusion, failed to defeat the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon or break the will of its fighters after 33 days of deadly destruction across the Lebanese territories. This failure reflected negatively on all aspects of political life within the enemy entity, on the will and morale of the "Zionist" army, on its future plans, and on the morale of "Israelis" both inside and outside the entity, as well as on the image of "Israel" as a temporary entity in its own eyes and before the world.

The July victory made the resistance in Lebanon a force to be reckoned with by the enemy and its allies. Lebanon's land will never again be under occupation, nor will Lebanon ever be hostage to the will of the enemy or open its doors to normalization, especially after the resistance leaders, particularly the martyrs among them, left behind thousands of new generations of Karbala-inspired martyrs, armed with strong will, sincere determination, and unwavering faith. The resistance has become more determined and stronger in defending Lebanon, its people, its resources, and what this dear homeland deserves in terms of a free, honorable, and dignified life.

Today, on the threshold of major historical transformations in the region, ignited by the triumphant Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and based on the great victory, historical outcomes, and lessons learned from the July War, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, after having made and continuing to make many sacrifices on the field of honor and heroism on the path to Al-Quds, reaffirms its unwavering and absolute commitment to its principles. Alongside all support fronts in the Axis of Resistance, it stands with the oppressed Palestinian people, preventing the enemy from achieving its goals. Despite ongoing "Israeli" threats, American aircraft carriers, assassinations, and internal and external media campaigns, the resistance will continue with courage, wisdom, and all available strength, capabilities, and surprises to defend Lebanon and its people, ensuring their freedom and right to live in safety and dignity. What it promises, it fulfills with the best of fidelity, and Allah is witness to what we say.

Based on this alleged claim, that's 23,000 civilian (men, women, and children) murdered by the Jewish state in their criminal campaign in Gaza.

And as you'd expect, Israeli reporters are saying this is a very good ratio of combatants to civilians, because the U.S. had a much worse ratio in Iraq and Syria vs ISIS.

Israeli forces in Gaza ‘use civilians as human shields’ against possible booby-traps

Israeli soldiers are using Palestinian civilians as human shields in Gaza to enter and clear tunnels and buildings they suspect may have been booby-trapped, a leading Israeli NGO and newspaper have reported.

The practice was so widespread across different units fighting in Gaza that it could in effect be considered a “protocol”, said Nadav Weiman, the executive director of Breaking the Silence, a group founded by Israeli combat veterans to document military abuses.

The group has collected testimony describing the practice from veterans of the 10-month war in Gaza. The accounts they have heard match those reported in an investigation by the newspaper Haaretz, which claimed that the chief of staff’s office was aware of the practice.
“The senior ranks know about it,” one source said to have taken part in finding civilians to serve as human shields told the paper. “Our lives are more important than their lives,” Haaretz quoted commanders telling their soldiers.

The practice is said to be so routine that Israeli soldiers have a name for the human shields, who are referred to as shawish – informal slang for a low-ranking soldier – and the process was described by several witnesses.

Palestinian civilians, mostly young men, are picked up by Israeli soldiers, dressed in Israeli army uniforms, then sent into tunnels and damaged houses ahead of Israeli forces.

"One soldier had been told Palestinian civilians were being used to replace the dog units that search for explosives 'because too many dogs had died'."
