🥀 Hezbullah's Resistance Brigade, the multi-sect auxillary force, mourns the martyrdom of its honorable fighter Fadi Qassem Kan'an, in defense of south Lebanon.

He is a local to Shebaa village, born in 1985, and was murdered this morning in a targeted assassination in his hometown.

📹 A fight took place between two families in Beirut's international airport, which forced the police to interfere. Reasons are unknown

⭕️ Earlier this morning, and without delays, Hezbullah issued a statement denying the claims mentioned in American media on how Israel killed Hezbullah most senior commander and its Chief of staff Foad Shokor.

The article was written by one Lebanese and one Israeli, and claims Israel hacked into Hezbullah's telecom network and convinced Foad to move to another apartment to kill him.

The article claims one of the journalists interview Hezbullah's officials for such exclusive info, which they deny is true.

⛴ AP reported that a Lebanese sailor was rescued from the waters of the eastern Mediterranean Sea early Sunday, nearly five hours after he fell 18 meters from the top of the NIVIN, a Panamanian-flagged ship.

The Cypriot authorities said the 24-year-old Lebanese national did not need medical care after.

🇮🇱 Negotiations failed, as expected

According to Israeli media, the confrontation between the Israeli negotiation team for the release of the abductees and Netanyahu brewed again.

The Israeli team believe they aren't given enough authority and what Netanyahu demands will never lead to a deal.

The negotiating team urged Netanyahu to be more flexible on the points of contention in order to move towards a deal.

"We will not be able to say for a long time that we are conducting negotiations if there is no dramatic progress."

In response, Netanyahu replies barks that this is a political and not a security decision, "this is my decision."

This clearly highlights what has been said for months, the war continues for political reasons.

🇱🇧 Senior Lebanese geologist tweets that he refuses to accept being interviewed by Syrian media to discuss the latest earthquakes in Hama, because he holds a U.S. citizenship, works at AUB and is worried about the U.S. sanctions on Syria affecting him!

🇮🇱 Israeli police is investigating that the explosion in Tel Aviv is not drug cartel related, and might have been a failed suicide (martyrdom) attack.

There is one death and one medium injury.

🇮🇱 Tel Aviv District Commander on the explosion:

"The dead man is not an innocent citizen, but rather the one who carried this bomb. The initial investigation shows that he was carrying the explosive charge in a bag on his back."

Unfortunately, the operation failed.

His nationality is unknown, and could have been possibility operating on behalf of a "foreign Islamic group or nation."

🇮🇱 According to the security services' assessment, the attacker planned to reach Bloomfield Stadium, where a football match was being held between Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Tel Aviv, and waited for thousands of fans to leave the stadium.

⭕️ Hezbullah released footage of their twin FPV suicide drone attacks on Al-Malkiah base on 11 August, including on the 4th anti-drone radar.

⭕️ Hezbullah released footage of their attack on Ayelet Hashahar settlement in northern occupied Palestine on 17 August.

The attack was in response to the murder of Syrian civilians in Lebanon.

✍ Some general thoughts:

1- After the murder of Imad Moghnieh, Hezbullah attempted discreetly to attack Israeli targets in Europe but failed due to a Mossad infiltration at a senior level. The officials were arrested in an operation in 2009-2010

These two officials are rumored to have been behind the failure to retaliate for Imad.

2- A suicide operation was successful in 2012, never taken credit for, and this was the last known attempt.

3- The attack tonight happens on the eve of the announcement of failure of the negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza

4- The attack failed, unfortunately, and as I joked with a friend tonight, God is with the Jews.

5- The Iranian retaliation for the Israeli attack in Tehran was likely delayed because of the 40th day anniversary of Ashoura, and they don't want to sabotage flights over Iraq until it's done

6- Hezbullah's retaliation to the murder of Sayyed Foad Shokour was likely multi-layered, a covert and overt attack.

7- The attack, had it been successful, might have been the opening of the show.

🇮🇱/🇱🇧 On this day, 18-19 August 2006, elite IDF unit, Sayeret Metkal, disguised with Lebanese army clothes and using Lebanese army issued Humvees landed in the outskirts of Afka village northern Lebanon.

The purpose was to deploy behind enemy lines against Hezbullah in Boday village, for an undisclosed sabotage or kidnapping operation.

The operation came just 5 days after the end of the Lebanese second war on 14 August 2006.

While on the move, the IDF unit fell into a Hezbullah ambush, where two were killed including a very senior commander. No Hezbullah casualties took place.

What's special about this commander, is that the IDF didn't reveal yet his photo, Lieutenant colonel Emmanuel Yehuda Moreno.
