They army tried to claim that they are close to civilian infrastructure, but clearly the absolute majority is in the forests, which is totally normal and acceptable. 230 meters in this example isn't 2.3 meters, especially with mostly evacuated and empty villages.

The post here is to highlight how counter battery radars help the Israeli army locate launchers after they fire.

📸 What's particularly interesting is that they claim each red dot is a launch site, not a rocket.

Out of half a dozen photo or so they released, it's up to a 100 red dot for 230 rockets (what they claim).

Did each launch site fire 2 rockets? When the norm is as low as 5-10 and up to 40-60 each.

🇱🇧/🇮🇱/🇺🇸 The Chief of staff of the US military spent his time mostly in the northern command, and wasn't involved with anything about Gaza.

His focus was on the Lebanese front, and was briefed on the ongoing battle, Hezbullah's abilities and positions around Lebanon, the IDF plans for now and in the future.

Which makes their pre-emptive attack against "barrels" as described by Hezbullah not a pre-emptive attack that would have foiled the planned retaliation.

This doesn't deny the success in causing material damages.

🇮🇱 The Israeli army rescued a hostage, a Muslim Bedouin who was working as a security guard at an Israeli settlement, from a tunnel in Gaza.

The Israeli army says the operation was performed by the elite Sheyetet 13 unit, and the hostage was found alone in a tunnel in healthy state.

This marks the 3rd successful rescue of a hostage from Gaza, first they were sold back to Israel (a family member betrayed for money), second through a massacre in Nusayrat, and today's from a tunnel.

These incidents are unfortunate, but expected, as the war lasted almost a year and the Israeli army was able to reach most places in Gaza and capture a lot of civilians and fighters.

108 abductees remain captive. The longer the war continues, and the more intelligence, the more hostages will be found. That's how it is. Netanyahu opts for a long war for that purpose, and sees negotiations futile and that Gaza is destined to fall under Israeli occupation.

📸 A large fire is ongoing in Balat village, for unclear reasons. Firefighters to arrive, as the fire is expanding to nearby houses.

The village used to be attacked by the Israeli army.

The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 3 Islamic Jihad members, from Syria's branch, one of which was the main target of the assassinations.
