🥀 Lebanese Minister of Health: 1,540 dead and 5,410 injured in Israeli attacks since the start of the expanded wave of attacks
لا حول و لا قوة الا بالله و حسبي الله و نعم الوكيل
Someone help me understand, since when do they mean? Since the pager attack or since the airstrikes started?
What about the death toll from the past 11 months. What was the tally up to then.

🇮🇱l🇱🇧 The Israeli army claims only 175 rockets fired so far, largely downplaying how much was actually fired.
In the latest attack, Hezbullah claimed 80 while Israeli claimed 45.
In the 3 attacks towards Safad, one alone was 50 as claimed by Hezbullah. Israel claimed all 3 collectively were 40.
Video released by Hezbullah, for promotion of rocket launches.

🥀 Lebanese Minister of Health: 1,540 dead and 5,410 injured in Israeli attacks since the start of the expanded wave of attacks
🥀 It's important to know because
1- Death toll before the pager attack and what cane after should be separated from the death toll of the previous 11 months
It's important, so the civilian death ratio can be separated and understood better. To highlight the crimes they did in this wave of airstrikes.
Adding 500 combat to a death toll of 1,500, assuming it's from 8-Oct will water down the reality.
Detail and information are important. Perspective is important. Time and how and why is also important

🇮🇱l🇱🇧 After claiming to have caused strategic losses for Hezbullah in terms of arms and weapons, the chief of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, lays down the plans for the future, to prevent all weapon transfers from Iran to Hezbullah.
Between the lack of clear goals and orientation (for present and future) in Gaza vs what we are seeing in Lebanon, is a case to study after the war.
He says during a visit to Tal Nof airbase:

He says during a visit to Tal Nof airbase:
"We in Lebanon are now going to prevent any possibility of weapon transfers from Iran, in the face of what we have taken away so far from Hezbuah,"

🥀 The senior commander killed today by Israel in Beirut was one of Hezullah several envoys to Yemen, secretly of course.
He was first known about 8 years ago, when someone from the Ansarallah (Houthi) members leaked an internal video during a training session.
In this report by Saudi Arabia media, they viewed parts of it. During it, he was teaching them about examples, about defense and offense, mission secrecy, etc...
He was not yet announced by Hezbullah, but likely will soon, as a photo of his body covered before burial has been shared online.

🇮🇱l🇱🇧 Some general news and notes
- Israel acknowledges they were told about a 3-week ceasefire in Lebanon. They refused it and said there is no reason for a ceasefire
- Israel's air force commander says we are preparing with the ground forces for an invasion of Lebanon, if and whenever, the political leadership asks for it
- Israel said clearly they want to destroy Hezbullah as a fighting forces and create a buffer zone in Lebanon up to the Litani
- Israel stated a clear goal: Destroy Hezbullah as a fighting force
On the other hand, some observations
- No clear path to end this war in Lebanon so easily. Israel is adamant to invade and hopes to settle, a new endless war like in Gaza
- Israel was much more prepared for this war than it was for Gaza, they knew what to do and how to act, fast enough
- Hezbullah's performance is shocking, underwhelming, and inviting more Israeli attacks because its seen as weakness
- There is a major leadership drain that happened in Hezbullah, for the first time ever in their history at this scale.
- Israel continues to control the pace of the war
- Despite a 11-month gradual escalation, Hezbullah somehow looks and acts as if it was taken by surprise
I hope I'm wrong in everything. I hope its happening for a reason. I hope they are still well and able to defend and overcome the mistakes and mishaps of the past period.
