📹 Overview of the Battle as of Noon Earlier Today By Al Manar's Correspondent Ali Shoaib

The clashes are still ongoing. I would like to shed the light on something very important. The Israeli army is, besides its military campaign using airstrikes and artillery against Lebanese lands, waging a psychological war by publishing photos and videos from between some houses. Especially those which were published today on the outskirts of the villages of Yaroun and Maroun. If we analyze this footage, we see that they are only to the backdrop of occupied lands and not Lebanese territory. There are some shots taken near the trees on the edge of Maroun al-Ras, and some taken near houses and in the southern neighborhood on the outskirts of Yaroun. This is where the Israeli enemy forces are moving.

Additionally, we're talking about facing a fast moving enemy which has jets—the area has been subjected to a year of bombing, and the villages and houses which face the border intentionally destroyed. Victory or defeat are not determined by the geography; the measure is of the goals achieved.

For example, has the enemy's entry into these border villages prevented the launching of rockets towards occupied territory? Has it returned the settlers to the north? Has it stopped the defense operations in the very same villages that contain Israeli soldier and vehicle movements, as shown in the photos? All of these goals haven't been achieved; it's the opposite.

What's happening today is more settlers, even further south of the border than before, are seeking refuge in other more southern settlements. Instead of 100,000 refugee settlers from the north, the situation  has worsened by folds, such that those in Haifa and its surroundings up to Northern Khdaira, Tiberias, Safed, and the central Galilee spend their days in shelters because the rockets aren't stopping—rocket salvos continue to target these areas. The red alert sirens sound over 20-30 times in dozens of israeli settlements.

So that is the measure of victory and defeat: achieving pre-defined goals. These photos and videos released by the enemy for the purpose of achieving a morale victory don't affect the morale of Hezbollah's fighters and supporters, and don't achieving anything in the battlefield. The reality on the ground says the rockets launches are ongoing from the frontlines towards Tiberias, Haifa, Naharaya, and the depths of the central Galilee in Karmiel and other settlements.

Additionally, there are defense operations that are continually taking place on the frontlines. What does it mean for the Israeli army to bomb Kfarkila while talking about entering Kfarfila? What do the airstrikes on Yaroun and Maroun, such as the ones that took place moments ago, signify while the Israelis claim they are stationed in these villages? This is both the fear of and the admittance of the fact that members of Hezbollah are still present in these villages, and are still defending against the Israelis.

Some questions and answers, about things that I myself am asking and many others are

These answers represent me personally, and the questions might represent anyone.

We lost the only person who we ever needed to answer all our questions and give us the details and comfort we ever needed. He's not here anymore and the gap only ever grew because whoever can help is being chased and killed by Israel.

The questions/answers will not motivate or depress, nor do they intend to comfort because myself I'm not comfortable. I don't know if we are in a trial by God to test our core or we were destinated to damnation and will be replaced by another people.

We don't have to have done something bad, its just how God works I guess.

Will start from 7-Oct 2023 and end at 7-Oct 2024

1- Did Hamas do the correct thing on 7-October

Yes, they have acted righteously to prepare for an attack on Israel that can provide a number of prisoners that can be used to release the countless lives destroyed in the Israeli army dungeons and end the misery in those concentration camps.

The prisoners were the key to ease the blockade on Gaza, provide more luxuries to the people, help the economy, bring more aid.

2- Did Hamas make mistakes on 7-October

I'd say the mistake was expanding the scope of the operation in the terms of entering Israeli settlements and killing many of settlers. The mistake was also bringing in too many hostages

Had they only attacked the military bases, which they so effortlessly done, and only kidnapped soldiers, they would have definitely been able to secure a better position in terms of foreign support and a better rhetoric

Of course, I do not shed a tear for any Israeli killed nor do I condemn killing them. They are occupiers who serve in an occupation army who has brought terror to my home and life and every Palestinian and Lebanese

3- Could Hamas have had secured better conditions for Gaza without this operation

Unfortunately no, Netanyahu's government was not only working to judify Jerusalem, they were also annexing the West Bank

They increased the attack on Palestinians and made the living conditions there worse.

They had nothing to negotiate with to release prisoners and nothing to negotiate to lift the blockade on Gaza. People didn't care about their suffering.

Remember those marches at the border to protest the situation in Gaza? The army shot at everyone and hundreds lost their lives or lost limbs. Peace only brought suffering and the way Israel bought silence only made Gaza die slowly.

4- Was Israel going to attack Gaza at this scale if Hamas didn't do the 7-Oct operation

No, Israel wouldn't have attacked Hamas at this scale if they didn't do 7-Oct.

However yes, Israel would have attacked Hamas at this scale if Hamas was going to do anything, even if minor. Kidnap one soldier, kill one soldier, fire rockets to retaliate to an Israeli attack, etc

It has become evident that the Israeli army today is not that of 2006 and 2008. It is no longer sensitive to casualties nor is it reluctant in making decisions

Israel carried a limited battle in Gaza, if I remember accurately, in 2018, 2019, 2021, etc

During all they attacked senior Palestinian leaders. And they would have continued and at one point, a relation would have definitely led to this war eventually.

It was coming, Hamas's actions only accelerated the inevitable. However yes, this inevitable was not imminent yet you cannot simply wait for this inevitable. You act and before that prepare for the conditions

5- Did Israel win in Gaza? Did Hamas lose in Gaza?

Winning and losing is usually assessed based on objectives. There are also layers of winning at different levels.

The tactical win, the strategic win, the battle win, the war win, the political win, etc.

Israel won some and lost some, Hamas won and lost some. However the war in Gaza didn't end

If at one point the war ends, and Hamas can survive as it has done in the past 12 months and inshallah it will, they can negotiate rebuilding, freedom, and going back to 6-Oct
👍120👎48🫡14🤬4👀4
6- Should Hamas declare a victory if it secures a deal to rebuild Gaza and free prisoners

No, unfortunately out of if respect to everyone who was killed and everyone who was injured, this is not a war to declare victory in.

This is a war to be added to the path of thorns on the path to liberation, a path full of thorns as is any path to fight against a superior arrogant, criminal, and terrorist occupation

After the war, they should rebuild themselves, remedy the pain of the people, uplift them, and prepare for defense and empowerment as the enemy is still there.

Care for the people, they are everything. Learn from the mistakes and fortify the homefront.. fortify it.

7- Did Hezbullah do the right things on 8-October?

Yes, Hezbullah took the correct decision on 8-October to engage the Israeli army in support of the Gaza.

This was a fruit of the 2021 Jerusalem swords that became ripe, where efforts can join to help each other against Israel.

That, and Hezbullah had a moral duty to help support Gaza in the face of the upcoming massacre that was unfolding.

On the first day Israel started to kill people by the hundreds in Gaza, by the second day they almost crossed a 1,000 and day after day it only ever got worse.

Today Gaza suffered 41,000 thousand deaths and 150,000 injured. People are under rubble, people are lost, etc etc.

It was Hezbullahs moral duty to help.

8- How did Hezbullah help

Hezbollah started with limited attacks targeting Israeli cameras and spy equipment that threatens Lebanon

Day by day they resorted to more attacks and only later expanded to attacks Israeli border bases.

And as Israel escalated the situation, Hezbullah expanded the scope of the attacks but for all scenarios, they kept themselves limited and confined themselves to the border area.

Meron that was a target, was a mere 8km from the border. The Israeli attacks were daily 8km deep and more.

As Israel continued to escalate, Hezbullah stayed confined.

These attacks, had a few goals which were to pressure the Israeli army to divert resources away from Gaza, pressure the Israeli army to shorten the war, try to instill fear in the Israeli enemy to avoid a bigger war, etc..

Many of these goals were achieved, and Hezbullah was successful in keeping the war limited in Lebanon by limiting it to the border area. Beirut stayed safe, Beqaa/Baalbek stayed safe, and the depth of south Lebanon stayed safe.

Sayyed Hassan explained enough about the achievementd then, so please refer to him

9- Did Hezbullah gamble? Did they help Gaza enough as they would have hoped?

Yes it was a gambe whose results were not clear, and they were guided by projection of old deterrence and power buildup over the years.

It was a gamble with unclear results because Hezbullah assumed the military power they have, the 18-year-long detterence and the Israeli fear of war in Lebanon would allow Hezbullah to work and avoid an all-out-war.

This was a gamble because Israel was going to launch a pre-emptive war on 11-Oct in Lebanon and was planning to kill Sayyed Nasrallah then. But Israel decided to focus on Gaza and once they were done, focus on Lebanon

This gave Hezbullah a fake illusion of comfort and assumed Israel us truly bound by the rules. Will get back to this.

So with all this effort made, the effects done on the army, the damage caused on Israel, Hezbullah was not able to save Gaza.

After a couple of months in this war, Hezbullah reached a peak to what effectiveness this support front could achieve and by reaching this climax reached a deadly limitation.

Crossing it is causing a war in Lebanon which they tired hard to avoid, and stopping it, was a defeat for Hezbullah and an embarrassment of abandoning Gaza

They had no choice but keep the same pace, no matter the losses.
