Regrading these words, there is nothing new about them unlike what many might hint at.

Leaving Lebanon's occupied hills, Al Ghajar village, and returning the Golan Heights to Syria.
They along with all Arab regimes have come, since decades, to the acceptance of Israel as a reality that can not be changed but still hold on the right of a Palastinian state to exist

This is what the "Arab initiative for peace" that was done in 2002 in Beirut is for and requested by KSA. This is actually the official stand of the Lebanese government, peace after establishing a Palastinian state with the borders of 1967 and giving up the occupied territories.
Only few non state actors and countries still advocate for a Palastinian state over all of Palastine...from the river to the sea...till the last inch. END

When reading a book about Lawrence and the Hijaz campaign in 1917, but end up discovering how the UK was more friendly to Al Saud's Wahabist clan in Hijaz and how they bankrolled them, but were secterian against a group they never met or engaged, the Shias in north Lebanon. https://t.co/TUwCtK33vh
Though I've got to say, Lawrence himself was very harsh in his memoirs about the Shia in Lebanon too.
He wasn't the first, as most history books never knew who they were and used to confuse them with the Druze.
