📰 In the second series of this thread, a book called Beirut 1985 by an ex-CIA member.

The book is a disappointment because it was rather very small and brief, written in very simple sentences. It's not sophisticated nor does it provide any lesser known secrets or events

However it's an on-point book to who would like to learn about this year in Lebanon, and how the Lebanese civil war in 1958 witnessed the first U.S. military operations in the Middle East

Between the false threat of communism, Gamal Abdul Nassr's rise, and the chaos of instability and coups in this area, the US intervened for the sake of not being seen as doing nothing.

The ironic part is that the intervention was done at the wish and request of Lebanon's Christian President Chamoun, to only be ousted by the U.S. that year.

For once they actually viewed the reality in Lebanon and allowed diplomacy to take course rather then enforce something through military might.

17 November 2024: Is Lebanon part of greater Israel

📸 The other is in Um el-Tout border town, geologated at 33.107944, 35.252706 by Ray_Me on X.

Both Al-Bustan and Um el-Tout are border Lebanese sunni towns with no Hezbullah, and no fight happened there, if not mistaken.

These two locations confirm that the statement about artillery moving towards Shamaa are totally fake.

🇮🇱l🇱🇧 After targeting the Israeli army 4 times with rockets, aiming at the forces that penetrated east and south of Khiyam with - these neighborhoods are witnessing the clashes with machine guns amidst the very dense fog due to the weather.

🇮🇱l🇱🇧 As for Teir Harfa and Shamaa, Al-Manar reports there are no renewed activity there, unclear if they meant no new resistance or no new Israeli activity.

However they report heavy Israeli attack towards Majdal Zoun town, with all of airstrikes, artillery, and phosphorus.

🇱🇧l🇮🇱 The Israeli army continues to heavily bombard with artillery and airstrikes Khiyam town, as clashes continue in the eastern and southern neighborhoods

📸 As foe Tier Harfa (Tayr Harfa) the Israeli army seems to have advanced and is in the town.

📸 During recent advances, the Israeli army located some mortar positions, and several rocket launchers and ammo. These were located in forward forested areas

🇱🇧l🇮🇱 Throughout the day, the Israeli enemy carried many attacks on south Lebanon and Nabatieh and Tyre city

Some water infrastructure was also damaged. Below is summary of attacks as of a few hours ago.

Most of the artillery attacks are in the areas close to the new advances in the Western sector and in Tyre towns and villages.

With the advance in Tier Harfa and Chamaa, and a possible push to Al-Bayada hill, the whole coast area is in grave danger

Situation is similar to 2006's war's advance to those areas just a few hours and days before the end of the war.

🌈 Somewhere in the beautiful south Lebanon

❗️U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein informed the Lebanese Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, that he is delaying his departure to Beirut until getting more clarifications about the Lebanese position regarding the cease-fire agreement

❗️For the second day in a row, an Israeli attack targets Beirut outside of Dahyeh, this time In Zkak al-Blat area

🇱🇧 Yesterday's attack in Mar Elias street targeted what Hadath TV reported is Mahdmoud Madi, an alleged Hezbullah commander.

Madi was killed alongside other civilians and a woman passing by.

His brother Hassan owns the electronics and phones shop and the apartment attacked. Hassan confirms his brother was a civilian and not associated with Hezbullah and he works at his shop.

📹 And as you'd expect the Iron Dome forgets to work when its Arab towns.

The rockets impacted the Arab Town of Shafa A'mr, causing extensive material damages and casualties.

Arabs in Israel work in all jobs in Israel, including the army and hospitals, integrating well into the system. Regardless, unfortunate the impact was there
