Lebanese News and Updates
As mentioned before, this war is too early to end, because Israel isn't treating it as a simple conflict that ends with achieving temporary gains and so on.
The matter which is vague and continues to be, is that the goals to end the war in Gaza are different than the goals to end the war in Lebanon

However the war Israel fought Hezbullah, was is if they fought it over a Hezbullah's own 7-Oct that they didn't do nor did anything to actually prompt such a campaign.

Between Gaza's 7-Oct and the 101 hostages and the mere threat of a possible Hezbullah ground attack on the Galilee that is now a thing of the past, Israel can stop the war today and be considered a winner having achieved maximalist goals in Lebanon that it couldn't achieve in previous wars.

Invading all of south Lebanon is time consuming and occupying it isn't feasible due to resources and manpower and with their clear goal for now to set the conditions to return settlers home, this war can end very soon because the threat to invade is no-more and Hezbullah would abide by a ceasefire like both sides did for 18 years after 2006.

However despite all these achievements, it doesn't feel right or doesn't feel like its actually going to happen.

Not only will Israel forfeit its goal of pushing Hezbullah beyond the litani, etc etc those major goals that all officials explicitly talked about won't be achieved and the resistance can consider it as a partial victory that was through preserving the resistance.

Now you'd ask but look at the destruction. I'll tell you blame Israel for its war crimes and the US for the bombs to attack civilian property and cause this destruction. Do not conflate righteousness with falsehood.

But ending the war now will put Lebanon in a weak position because it was not able to create a deterrence yet

The war at this moment would end with Israel achieving A goal, unlike in 2006 when it achieved Zero goals.

Not only that, but Israel would not have neutralized the threat of rockets, so if the war starts tomorrow its as if we are back to the day before the ceasefire.

So its a matter of many Israeli goals not being achieved, excluding one. All that after the massive destruction in Lebanon caused by Israeli aggression and war crimes.

On the other hand, Sayyed Hassan was clear. The support front won't allow the setters return home unless the Israeli war in Gaza ends.

However when he was speaking, he spoke about the support front, the low intensity battle which was largely confined to south Lebanon which they assumed could be limited to that area for long. What's the position now?

How can Lebanon accept a ceasefire that is sesperate? However how can justify continuing this war at a killing disadvantage for us and tie it to Gaza, with no prospects there to end. Different goals and grand plans by Israel. They want to change Gaza forever and one year into the war and they are still going.

We cannot in Lebanon handle another year. However ending the war here, just doesn't work or shouldn't be so. The problem is, Lebanon has no leverage in the negotiations nor ability to enforce a condition.

A ceasefire here and there without ending the war would be great. Ceasefires happened in 2006 war.

This war was fought remarkably with many disadvantages, even during the support front where Hezbullah kept a low scale of escalation and was harmed without using the weapons jt could to harm back in order to avoid expanding the war.

But Israel's previous knowledge and the tools it has at its hand allowed things to move along until we reached the black day of the pager attack and what followed in a series of catastrophies that shaped this war in a way it was not planned to be fought it

This wasn't what Hezbullah prepared for and the situation is completely different, so it's wrong to judge them based on this and ridicule what they prepared for and promised in the past years.

The resistance's war in 2006 secured unprecedented 18 years of security and calm in Lebanon, a major achievement while ensuring Lebanon never normalized nor accepted submission.

Today's war is a step in the harsh path of resistance, the thorny road (طريق ذات الشوكة) A mishap today is the present's lesson for the future.

Only time will tell how things progress, and I have complete confidence and blind trust in whatever Hezbullah decides on.

🇮🇱l🇱🇧 In the operational update of the Israeli army, they announced the usual generic phrases of attacking, killing, targeting the whole set of words (bases, launchers, fighters etc etc)

They released some blurred photos from the second line of villages, indicating the battle is still ongoing and the areas not secured yet

They located an AK, an RPG and some grenades. No cache.

📰 A ceasefire draft is reportedly available, and agreed on between Lebanon and Israel. Amos will visit Israel tonight to get their signature.

Ending the war/battle now will give Lebanon and the resistance the breacher it needs and at the same time before Israel had achieved its stated goals.

Sheikh Naim's speech today is likely to inform the people about this matter.

A common Lebanese falsehood is how they define deterrence and ridicule Hezbullah for this war

Detternce ends when a war starts. When it does, there are no more rules or anything that binds the enemy to previous red lines or agreements. It is war.

Hezbullah's deterrence against Israel started to erode on 8-Oct-23 but still ensured the battle stays limited and mutual.

Israel abandoned all deterrence and started the war during the pager attack in Sept-24.

Before that, Hezbullah's resistance that liberated south Lebanon from decades of Israeli occupation and then the 2006 war for the liberation of Lebanese prisoners created an 18 year deterrence in which Lebanon lived in unprecedented security stability.

Judgement of events isn't bkack or white not confined to the immediate present. Judge correctly and not through your hate.

Just situation is not optimal and war is harsh, but we are the ones who are affected by it most and have the clearest clarity about it. Righteousness comes with a price, and judgement day is never too late. #admin

🇱🇧 Summary of the speech of Sheikh Naim Qassem:

- A week has passed since the Arbaeen of Sayyed Hachem Safieddine. Sayyed Hachem, you were the right hand and primary support of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. You were always present on every frontline. You have triumphed, while we are the ones who lost.

- We must also mention the martyrdom of our dear brother, the Chief of Media Relations in Hezbollah, Hajj Mohammad Afif al-Naboulsi, who was martyred in the field of Jihadi Resistance media. He was an icon in the media field. He had strategic insight and filled a significant gap in the media field, where he was keen on holding press conferences, to expose the enemy, highlight the achievements of the Resistance, and respond to the accusations against it.

- The enemy murdered Haj Mohammad Afif, who is a civilian figure and should have been protected [by law]. The enemy aggressed the capital Beirut to kill Haj Mohammad Afif. They shall not think that any aggression on Beirut will go unanswered. When you attack Beirut, it is natural that the response will hit the center of Tel Aviv.

- We thank everyone who offered their condolences and shared our grief, and congratulated us on the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. I also thank everyone who supported the party's step in choosing the new Secretary-General. God-willing, we will continue the path and uphold the trust of the martyrs.

- We had previously agreed to the Biden-Macron proposal on the basis that it could end the war, but the enemy assassinated our Secretary-General.

And it is true, we received a severe blow, and there was a state of confusion in Hezbullah. But within 10 days, we were able to restore our capabilities on every level; military, political, media...

- It is an honor for us to be among the few who supported Gaza, alongside Yemen, Iraq, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, while the world stood by watching more than 45,000 martyrs, along with the wounded, destruction, and displacement. It is true that the blows we received were painful and agonizing, but we have many steadfast cadres of great resilience.

(the above were quotes from Political Aya on X, remaining is from David David on X)

- For 11 months, we were involved in a support battle for Gaza, where we gave what we could to support Gaza.

- The second battle began two months ago, meant to repel the total Israeli aggression against Lebanon. Israel does not need an excuse [to engage] in aggression.

- The last word belongs to the battlefield, and we will build our position upon battlefield accomplishments -- in two parts: on the frontlines, and strikes against the Israeli home front, and we have capabilities to continue at this rate of fire for a long time

- Here is the critical point. What is the solution? We read the ceasefire proposal. We read it well, and have our comments and Nabih Berri has comments, and ours and the Lebanese Government's comments are, God Willing, identical.

We have decided not to discuss these ceasefire proposals or our comments in the media. All I will say is that the Israelis are trying to obtain through negotiations what they couldn't through war -- and this is not going to be possible.

I can't guarantee that these negotiations will lead to a quick ceasefire.

This depends on Israel. But we have two conditions:

1) a total and complete end to the Israeli aggression

2) Absolute Lebanese sovereignty, meaning the Israelis can't violate Lebanon's sovereignty under various excuses
👍77👎23🫡8🤬5
- we are not making the battlefield dependent upon the negotiations. We have one option: enduring and continuing, no matter how long the war lasts.

- We have opted for one of two options -- either victory or martyrdom

- We are confronting Israeli human beasts being backed by American human beasts -- so we have no option but confrontation

- we will remain in the battlefield, no matter the cost -- because the cost of not fighting is higher
👍72👎21🫡13🤬3
- I want to give a special thanks to the Amal Movement. Hezbollah and Amal are one, and I wish this type of national unity for all of Lebanon.

- we have not and will not change our positions on this war.

We believe in the solidarity of the army, people, and resistance.

After the war, together with the State we will

1) rebuild together with outside partners.

2) We will actively help elect a president.

3) We will act under the Taif Agreement in cooperation with other political parties.

4) We will be present in the political field to build and protect Lebanon.

(As in same Hezbullah before the war and after the war)

(below are continuation from Political Aya on X, follow her)

- had anticipated that the operation on the border front would last for 15 days (that the enemy would advance further after that), but it extended in the same area for a longer time due to the Resistance, the valor of the men of might.

- It does not matter if it is said that the enemy entered a certain village; what matters is how many were killed and where the Mujahideen confronted them. Throughout this two-month battle, the result has been the legendary resilience of the Resistance in Lebanon, where over 100 "israeli" soldiers were killed and 1,000 injured.

- The resistance does not operate like conventional armies, and it is not its duty to prevent the enemy's advance but to resist and thwart them wherever they try to advance. In the end, the land is ours, the men are our men, and the enemy will pay the price in the areas it was lured into.

- The field speaks for itself, and the outcomes are determined by what happens on the ground. The Resistance has the capability to fight a long war. "israel" cannot defeat us or impose its terms on us.

The speech is smart as expected from Hezbulah's leadership. We'll see how things actually progress and what actually happenes.

Hezbullah told the Lebanese that they are willing to stop the war, highlighting it's up to Israel to agree and setting the condition of preserving Lebanon's sovereignty.

We all know Israel's conditions that they want to enforce in Lebanon, and Amos was clear when he said "we will continue to work on this ceasefire with the new administration"

Sheikh Naim was clear when he said he didn't expect a fast ceasefire, and we all know well since 8-Oct-23 Hezbullah was clear about its goals. End the war in Gaza and eventually end the war in Lebanon.

It is Israel who decided to go on a Jewish crusade, and Sheikh Naim said two points:

- It is victory or martyrdom. No to accept submission

- Fighting is a cost cheaper than surrending

Finally, he said Hezbullah was in real chaos for 20 days after the assassination of Sayyed Hassan. He said so in all his speeches.

So imagine how difficult the situation was for the resistance, and how the ground invasion started with that shock's effects. Sayyed and all the other leadership.

Surviving this war, but also securing all pre-war conditions is a grand triumph. Costs were high, but I already explained these before. #admin
