🇮🇱l🇱🇧 U.S pressure Israel, demands a ceasefire in Lebanon fast.

In a message that was sent from senior officials in Washington to their counterparts in Tel Aviv - there is a deadline.

Hochstein stressed that "we need to reach agreements within a few days, otherwise I will not continue to conduct the negotiations."

This message came through more toned down during Hochstein's meetings in Israel with Netanyahu and Katz, but is now coming more emphatically through the ambassador in Washington, Mike Herzog.

The ambassador received the message in the last few hours and forwarded it to the Prime Minister's office.

It is not yet clear to Israel whether this is an official American position or whether the talks are an attempt to put pressure on Israel and Lebanon.

An Israeli official points out that after the optimism registered in recent weeks, at this stage there are "difficulties in contacts".

✍ Attacking buildings in Beirut do not serve any military purpose and are war crimes.

But all phrasing aside, the IDF knows well these attacks don't have any impact on the battlefield as Hezbullah is neither managing the war from them nor do they have any assets that Hezbullah uses at war.

These attacks are meant to exert a cost on Hezbullah and its people, after the war.

But during this war, act as a pressure mechanism to force Hezbullah into concessions which we all know won't happen. Unlike in Gaza, in previous wars, attacking towers and buildings won't force Hezbullah to accept anything.

Majority of these buildings being attacked have no Hezbullah offices, and the some that do are all public or lesser known administrative ones

These even include university related student sector, or religious offices, etc...

The IDF can attack single apartments, but they attack and level complete buildings for the reasons we mentioned above. And because of the attacks, all nearby buildings are affected byproduct too.

Idk what else to elaborate or explain here. You get what I mean.

Ah yes, for those journalists and others who are calling these attacks on Beirut as attacks on "Hezbullah assets" and "Hezbullah positions"

The IDF spokesman on X officially announced that these attacks tonight in Beirut are in response to Hezbullah's posturing to equate Israeli attacks on Beirut to attacks on Tel aviv.

In his message, he calls on them to go look at the destruction in Dahyeh after tonight, and assess how their equation is going.

My suspicions last year were confirmed that this attack was by an IED and not a drone strike.

Reason why it was? Were revealed by Ridwan, a Lebanese journalist who has access to many investigation files in Hezbullah and the Lebanese state.

In brief, Israel accuses Wissam al-Tawil of being the commander behind the Magido junction IED attack, share Hezbullah sent a Palestinian fighter from its ranks very deep in Israel and armed with IEDs.

He detonated one or two, before being captured alive. He snuck from the border area.

Investigations by Israel revealed the name of Tawil, and in return Israel sent him through messengers (mossad in Lebanon) parts of the IEDs which the fighter had as a message that they know what he did.

Tawil proceeded to visit the border area, and throw the message over the fence trying to say: I don't care about your message

Forward to Jan-2024, Tawil was killed by Israeli spies or Israeli forces when he was going home in his car in his hometown in Kherbet Selem with an IED, as a message of power projection and reach by Israel.

📰 Hezbullah issued a statement announcing they fired towards at Lubya hill at 10.00 tonight, targeting the Israeli force that was towing the damaged tank.

This hill is in Dier Mimas town, a Christian town which the Israeli army forced into.

The direction as far as Israel is concerned is positive, but there are a number of issues that have not yet been resolved.
