Regarding the question if Netanyahu is taking a break for two months waiting for Trump, David Daoud says:
- I'm not convinced that, after two months of quiet, a PM as unpopular and distrusted as Netanyahu will have the domestic legitimacy to restart a war against Hezbullah, which will have had 60 days to lick its wounds and better prepare for the next phase of fighting
- The more details emerge, the more it becomes obvious this is a terrible ceasefire deal. It takes the situation back to the status quo ante while only giving the appearance of tightening the screws on Hezbullah -- in which case, this is the Resolution 1701 redux.
- PM Netanyahu's domestic legitimacy is battered. It's not unforeseeable that protests against him will intensify the day a ceasefire goes into effect, especially when he's agreeing to a deal that has little popularity w/the Israeli public and has failed to return hostages. The full American guarantee letter:
- Israel and the US intend to share sensitive intelligence concerning violations, including any infiltration by Hezbullah into the Lebanese army.
- The US may share information provided by Israel with agreed third parties (the Lebanese government and/or the commission) to allow them to address the violation
- The United States is obligated to cooperate with Israel in order to curb Iran's activities in Lebanon, including preventing the transfer of weapons, affiliates, and others from Iranian territory
- The United States recognizes Israel's right to respond to threats coming from Lebanese territory in accordance with international law
- In the southern region - Israel reserves the right to act at any time against violations of the commitments
- Outside the southern region, Israel reserves the right to act against the development of threats directed against it, if Lebanon is unable or unwilling to thwart these threats: including the introduction of illegal weapons into Lebanon through borders and crossings
- If Israel decides to take such measures, it will inform the United States of this wherever possible
- Israeli flights over Lebanon will be conducted for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance purposes only, and will not be visible to the unarmed eye as much as possible, and will not break the sound barrier

IDF: The IAF conducted intelligence-based strikes on nine terror targets that were components of Hezbollah’s financial management and systems in the areas of Beirut, Sidon, Tyre, and Beqaa, in continuation of earlier strikes. The targets included a storage facility, branches of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan association, and the ‘Al-Insaf’ money exchange office which was used to fund Hezbollah’s military activities.
