Prisons are usually horrific places, and I for one an advocate for abolishing all types of prisons.
Punishment for crimes are either death, the whip, or fines alongside house arrest. Any prison is a great violation of rights and a damning experience for the human being.
Sednaya is one like all the dark dungeons of the Arab world, but also like the dungeons of all around the world. It is also one that was blown way out of proportion, and what we are seeing is what we expected it to be. Like prisons by US to Israel to Russia and here. Today Syria's prisons are opened but who will open the prisons in Israel and the the other Arab states. Who will uncover the fate of those who spent decades there.
In these Syrian prisons, terrorists and criminals. But also in some cases many innocent over political differences. Today many innocent were left free, but also many criminals and rapists and mass murderers. No one even bats an eye or cares. Free for all.
Glad to see the innocent free, but I pity and curse those who dedicated their lives and obsession over Assad and have never once cared about the prisoners in Israel, and so on.
These people, are not human rights activists or care about humanity. They are political and as a saying goes: only care about their foe's fall but don't care about their own hoes.

I do wonder, if Joulani will blow the prison up, use it when he rules Syria, or make it a museum.
There isn't really much to show in terms of museum, but blowing it up would be symbolic. After all, Joulani needs to transfer the thousands he has in his secret prisons in Idlib somewhere.
According to news, there are some prisoners that the rebels couldn't find, claiming there are secret doors. However no footage of that yet or those doors. There are dozens of CCTV footage cameras, and those are standard in all prisons.
I hope whoever they didn't find, they do, because dying of thirst of hunger is not a good way to go.
That all aside, claiming there are 100,000-800,000 people still missing inside some secret areas is quite delusional. Can't fit even if stacked.

سلامٌ على من ضحوا، سلامٌ على من بذلوا أرواحهم. سلامٌ على الصادقين، وسلامٌ على كل الشهداء في أرض سوريا.
It was the right thing to do then, and if the time goes back, it will be the right thing to do again.
These are the facts, this is the true understanding of the events and the way this war started, progressed, and ended. The decision was sane.
We (not me, but Lebanese Shia and Hezbullah) fought a Takfiri wave of international terrorists for the sake of order and to protect Lebanon, not for the sake of a man's throne or his system.
Fought alongside an ally, whose stance was loyal and allowed the resistance to grow, and didn't sell-out in the face of a clear threat to all.
Fought then until they were defeated, and evolved into what they are now. Unlike us who stayed one in terms of ideology and stance, they shifted many times. We showed consistency while they and the world showed hypocrisy.

When I say consistent, I mean it. Hezbullah never lied or flipped sides nor did they ever stand by oppression or fight for someone's throne.
They fought to protect and liberate Lebanon, and fought to preserve the ability to.
📸 25, February 1987, the anniversary of the Fathallah Barracks massacre in the Basta area of Beirut, when Syrian army forces executed 22 Hezbullah fighters during the campaign to take over the centers from the militias in West Beirut.
It was considered one of the rare direct clashes between the Syrian army and Hezbullah. Those who did the crime ruled Syria as of yesterday, but despite that Hezbullah put their hands in their hands and transcended for the better sake of the whole ummah.

☠️ In some lovely news, 4 Israeli soldier who were advancing during the ceasefire, entered a tunnel where Hezbullah had a cache of weapon. They were deported to hell
- Major (Res.) Evgeny Zinershain, aged 43, from Zikhron Ya'akov, a company commander in the 9263rd Battalion, 226th Brigade
- Captain (Res.) Sagi Ya'akov Rubinshtein, aged 31, from Lavi, a platoon commander in the 9263rd Battalion, 226th Brigade
- Master Sergeant (Res.) Binyamin Destaw Negose, aged 28, from Bet Shemesh, a soldier in the 9263rd Battalion, 226th Brigade
- Sergeant First Class (Res.) Erez Ben Efraim, aged 25, from Ramat Gan, a soldier in the 9263rd Battalion, 226th Brigade
The IDF claims it was an operational incident, and that the tunnel was booby trapped by them.

🇱🇧 The Lebanese army met today at the UN HQ in Naqoura with the Israeli army, the US, and the French.
This is part of their usual monthly meetings since 2006, but today was the first since this war ended. They discussed what is usually discussed - nothing...
These meetings usually as like this: The Lebanese army reports x number of Israeli violations. Israel barks back saying you are not doing anything against Hezbullah. (End)

Media: Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered the IDF to complete control over the buffer Zone between Israel and Syria, after the IDF began its deployment there yesterday.
In a statement, Katz says he also ordered the military to create a "security zone free of heavy strategic weapons and terror infrastructure" in southern Syria, including beyond the buffer zone, that could pose a threat to Israel.
✍ So far no comments yet by the new government in Syria
