Aoun announced that:
- Stability in the South is linked to the completion of the Israeli withdrawal from the territories it occupied, and the implementation of Resolution 1701 with all its provisions, including the requirements of the November 27 agreement.

- The release of Lebanese prisoners is also an integral part of the agreement

- Israeli attacks, including the killing of innocent people and soldiers, the destruction of homes, and the bulldozing and burning of agricultural land, must stop.

President Aoun to US Deputy Middle East Envoy Morgan Ortagus:

- The Lebanese Army is ready to deploy in the villages and towns from which Israeli forces withdraw, provided that the withdrawal is completed within the deadline of February 18

He also talked about the government and thanked Trump

🇱🇧l🇺🇸 Morgan then gave a 4 minute press conference in which she announced officially that the U.S. stands by the full Israeli withdrawal of 18-Feb and doesn't mention any border occupation of hills.

However....

🇱🇧l🇺🇸 However, during her press conference, she thanked Israel at the presidential Palace openly and for the first time ever, something like this happens

She expressed her joy that Israel has defeated Hezbullah and ended it, and that a new government and president came out of this war.

She's talking about the same war that and injured 20,000 Lebanese, of which thousands are civilians and destroyed countless towns and villages.

The attack in TayrHarfa was a planted explosive device that assassinated a Hezbullah fighter from the town who fought the IDF during the war and was the sole survivor from his group.

He was murdered alongside his 3 daughters.

Forget the airstrikes, this would be the second known Israeli assassination in Lebanon after the war.

1- The murder of the head of the Beqaa region in Hezbullah. The Mossad had sent Lebanese or Syrian gunmen. Lebanese security forces didn't arrest any yet.

2- This fighter who is local to the the town. He might have went up the ranks eventually, but targeting him like this means the IDF wanted to "close a circle" aka take revenge for something he did.

They using an IED means they personally were in the location. Which means the Lebanese army failed to clear the area before asking people to come and failed to secure it from infiltrations.

🇱🇧l🇸🇾 Ahmad al-Sharaa, the hypocrite, and the new Syrian army are attacking many Lebanese border towns with a Shia majority and have so far injured a dozen.

They are firing suicide drones, 122mm rockets and heavy guns.

The Lebanese army has not yet stood to it's responsibly, nor interfered nor coordinated an end to this Syrian aggression on Lebanon.

May they be humiliated that even the bread becomes a luxury to them

Currently their attacks are in Syria buy the shellings in targeting Lebanon.

Reinforcements are arriving on 2nd day with focus is to secure mountainous area south of Haweek, seized yesterday.

This area included many Hezbullah infrastructure, including the largest known tunnel (length: 3,500 m) dug for this purpose of transporting weapons from Syria to Lebanon.

It's located 3.7 km S. of Haweek. Its entrance was destroyed by Israel during the war.
