After a video clip went viral showing a group of armed citizens issuing threats against several Lebanese parties, an army unit backed by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided their homes in the Amayer area - Wadi Khaled, arrested citizens (A.B.) and (R.B.) and seized weapons and ammunition.

🇱🇧l🇸🇾 Another unit at the Hanider - Wadi Khaled checkpoint arrested citizen (H.H.) while he was trying to transport weapons and ammunition from Syrian territory to the Lebanese interior using a van.

The seized items were handed over and investigations with the detainees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

In the context of the Israeli enemy continuing its attacks and violations of Lebanon's sovereignty, elements of the enemy forces deliberately brought in settlers to visit an alleged religious shrine in the Abbad-Hola area in the south, which represents a blatant violation of Lebanese national sovereignty.

The entry of settlers from the Israeli entity into Lebanese territory is one of the aspects of the enemy's persistence in violating international laws, resolutions and relevant agreements, especially Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement.

The army command is following up on the issue in coordination with the five-member committee supervising the ceasefire agreement and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNIFIL.

IDF: A short while ago, the IDF conducted intelligence-based strikes on military sites in southern Lebanon belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in which weapons and rocket launchers belonging to Hezbollah were identified.

The weapons and the rocket launchers in the military sites posed a threat to the State of Israel and constituted a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.

The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel and will prevent any attempt of Hezbollah to reestablish and rebuild itself.
