Note about the note: When S Nasrallah mentioned the civil war he didn't mention Lebanon will go into a civil war if France didn't help. He meant the general situation in the country without cooperation with all parties might lead to that.
And I thought Lebanon's 9.2% was a huge catastrophe that we won't recover from. https://t.co/hKqN2hkKkf

After the UNFIL mandate passed, the Hezbullah retaliation became closer.
IDF is now preparing and reinforcing in silence unlike pre August 4, with the leaks to the press. It's when silent, they should be feared.
We are now days between a limited confrontation or a war. https://t.co/UUN4zlMQcn

A war is highly unlikely. The Israeli government is not united, the economy is sinking, and COVID-19 makes mobilization almost as deadly as war. And of course the very tense situation with Gaza.
However, no one knows what Netanyahu and Gantz might up deciding on.

The IDF seems to have tried to bait Hezbullah into attacking a dummy robot on the border.
The robot obviously looked not human, thus I have no idea how they thought Hezbullah would have fell for it. Unless they are yet again offering Hezbullah a "ladder".
Merkavas were there. https://t.co/FmI7eGhiKR

It's not the first time the IDF does so.
They did the same in August 2019, during a tense week on the border. https://t.co/IzMTkgkS2N

Jokes aside.
IDF is smart and IDF knows Hezbullah would know it's not human. The IDF is simply telling Hezbullah shoot that fake target, claim the attack, and we'll claim a soldier was injuried or killed without naming it and we'll just target empty fields and call it a day.

US Kelly Craft: “Today we end a long period of UNSC complacency regarding UNIFIL’s peacekeeping mission in Lebanon and the increasingly destabilizing influence of Iran and the terrorist organization of Hezbollah. Today’s decision is a step towards improvement.1/ https://t.co/4Mx3rsMVme
"The reduction of the force from 15,000 to 13,000 is a necessary step towards a reassessment of the mission. UNIFIL will also have immediate and full access to the sites necessary to contain Hezbollah and reduce its huge arsenal of weapons," she added. 2/
