In a post on the "X" platform on October 9, 2025, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam responded to a statement by President Nabih Berri about the government's failure in the reconstruction file and the south and its people, and said that "the Ministry of Social Affairs provided monthly financial assistance to 67,000 families from the families affected in the war, and also announced the provision of Instead of monthly rent for 10,000 families that were displaced".

3- Everything that the ministry provided was not directed support to the southerners or to the families affected by the war, but was part of the "security" program, which applies to all the poor people on all Lebanese lands, including those affected by the war.

4 - he financial amount that Salam talked about in his tweet, turned out to be $25 per family, a monthly payment to 62 thousand families, over the previous three months, and will continue during the next three months according to Gaya.

In conclusion? All that the Ministry of Social Affairs has provided to date is $25 over three months, i.e. $75
