– They struggled with their lives, their wealth, and everything they possessed—giving all that they had.

– Their blood blossomed at the moment of their harvest; they are the planters of the earth and the rain of the sky.

– From me to you: a pledge to continue and heralds of the future. From the resistance fighters: a pledge of steadfastness and victory. And from the families and all those who love them: a pledge of resilience, loyalty, and dignity.

– The number of martyred scholars has reached 15; the martyred students of religious studies number 41; and the martyrs from among the scholars’ sons number 39.

– We must remember the two esteemed martyred scholars, Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi and Sheikh Ragheb Harb, as pioneers of this path.

– Jihad is a foundation of our Islamic framework upon which we are raised.

– We are in a state of two jihads: the jihad of the self and the jihad against the enemy—both are interconnected, and it is the duty of scholars to nurture people upon jihad.

– The scholars offered themselves and their children as martyrs, and they have always stood at the forefront.

– Our scholars succeeded in building authenticity and dignity, and many in Lebanon and beyond were surprised at how Hezbollah managed to carve its path.

– The distinguishing feature of Hezbollah is that it established a bond between the scholars and the people in such a way that we feel we are one community, with one vision and one direction.

– In Hezbollah, we worked on the basis of the perfection of religion, adhered to the constants of Islam, believed in the path of jihad in the way of Allah, and acted upon the noble virtues of character [noble morals].

– We were also raised to love our homeland, and we believed in freedom of choice, expression, faith, and in establishing a state.

– Hezbollah is distinguished by the broad popular support surrounding it due to its commitment to the Islamic project and thanks to the efforts of scholars and preachers in this direction.

– The tyrants seek to confront the Resistance because it presents a project built on dignity and honor, while the arrogant powers strive to impose their colonial vision.

– Hezbollah succeeded in presenting a refined and influential model, offering a distinguished national experience that drew wide attention—this is why the arrogant world now seeks to eliminate Hezbollah.

– They want to confront the Resistance because it presents a project rooted in nationalism, independence, dignity, and ethics—values they do not want us to live by.

– Hezbollah managed to build a relationship with the most significant Christian current in 2006—the Free Patriotic Movement—offering a model of partnership between Hezbollah and an influential force in the Christian arena.

– Hezbollah’s experience was never isolated; it was always cooperative, extending its hand and offering a pioneering model, which angered the arrogant powers.

– The upbringing we provide through our Scouts and our schools forms the experience that appears in uprightness, national responsibility, and cooperation with everyone.

– Hezbollah issued a statement to the Pope, which triggered a campaign by some disturbed parties who asked: “Why did you do that?”

– They opposed the statement because they saw that it resonated deeply and had an impact—they sought to distort it, but they will not succeed.

– Who seeks to distort the image of a people rich in strength, morale, patriotism, and the will to stand in dignity, and of a Resistance that shed blood and sacrificed for the homeland?

– All these arrows will break and will only increase our determination, strength, and energy, for we are a group that believed in God and was raised by righteous scholars.

– It is natural to have political differences within the country.

– But how should political disagreement be organized?

– It should be regulated according to the constitution and laws, within the framework that internal disagreement is a means to improve the conditions of the state.

– We cooperate with everyone to build the state and liberate the land, and our record of actions proves it.

– We do not wait for anyone’s certification, nor do we grant certification to anyone.

– No one has the right to bestow national credentials—especially those who themselves need someone to absolve them from their dark history and their crimes in the civil war.

– Parliamentary elections reveal matters as they truly are, and they are the final arbiter.

– This enemy is expansionist, has not adhered to agreements, and its aggression is constant—not because of Hezbollah’s weapons, but to lay the groundwork for the gradual occupation of Lebanon and draw “Greater Israel” from Lebanon’s gateway.

– The limits that must govern the Lebanese state’s relations with the "Israeli" enemy are the limits of the agreement—nothing more.

– There is no such thing as “south of the Litani”; all other matters are internal Lebanese affairs.

– America has nothing to do with the weapons, nor with the defense strategy, nor with Lebanese disagreements.

– They want to strip us of our weapons, dry up financial resources, block services, close schools and hospitals, enforce a policy of halting reconstruction and donations, and demolish homes.

– They want to eliminate our existence entirely.

– Are we supposed to believe that the issue is simply removing the weapons, and then Lebanon’s problems will be solved?

Highlights from the speech of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, during the festival organized by Hezbollah, “Naje’e wa Midad” (Blood and Ink), held in honor of the martyred scholars on the path to liberating Al-Quds and the Formidable in Might:

– We will defend ourselves, our people, and our country. We are ready to sacrifice to the fullest extent, and we will not surrender.

– Our might will be fiercer and stronger—we will not surrender.

– We will stand by our people and our wounded, a legend in sacrifice.

– We will uphold the pledge, safeguard the trust of the martyrs, and never retreat.

– We will pay no attention to the servants of “Israel.” We will focus only on those among our citizens and political forces who wish to listen, discuss, and cooperate within the framework of one country and within a unified defense strategy. This is the only open framework.

– No one in the world can prevent defensive capability—this is settled. Let them try that with the defeated, not with us.

– The participation of a civilian delegation in the mechanism committee violates the core condition requiring the enemy to halt hostilities. You offered a free concession that will not change anything in the enemy’s attitude or aggression.

– The civilian delegation went and met, and the pressure and attacks increased. “Israel” wants to tell the Lebanese: we want you under fire.

– This measure is an additional misstep, added to the misstep of August 5.

– We in Hezbollah did our duty and enabled the state to assert its sovereignty within the framework of the agreement. And be assured: when we are united, they can do nothing.

– Aligning with “Israel” is like puncturing the ship… and then everyone will drown.
