The evacuation of that area is an attempt to depopulate towns and villages, whose mountains and valleys are so far the biggest source of rocket fire...north of the Litani river

The IDF knows well that the Lebanese army has dismantled the majority of Hezbullah's infrastructure in the south Litani area.

Despite that, they didn't care and they continued to kill, attack, and demolish civilians on daily basis.

Today with the rocket fire mostly from the north..what will they do? Invade till there? Stay how long?

Impossible without a general mobilization of 100's of thousands and a cross towards many big towns and villages.

Because of that..the goal so far..as of today is to punish Hezbullah's supporters and base by destroying their towns and their expensive buildings in Beirut hoping the Lebanese gov does their bidding in an agreement that would end the war with peace between both countries
