Well, for an independent MP he surely had good relationships in his past as a weapons dealers.

That aside, the elections he won costed him millions in aid to people he gave aid parcels to and called them weeks before the elections to make sure they voted for him. https://t.co/LYOlic1oLZ

Macron: - I am not talking about Hezbollah with its terrorist formation. I am talking about it through its political and parliamentary formation, which are forces present in Parliament.

- The political Hezbullah was elected by the people, and I can say that the weapons of "Hezbollah" should be handed over as I return to my country, but how can we get out of this situation except for discussion, and I raised this issue today. This shouldn't be a taboo. https://t.co/x4JplVcFV1
Macron, during a press conference at the Pine Palace:

- We will not turn a blind eye to the need to support the people.
- We transported 1,000 tons of aid to Lebanon.
- We must provide support to the Lebanese people.

- The investigation into the Beirut port explosion must be carried out with international assistance.

- We contribute to the investigation of the Beirut explosion with full transparency, and 700 French army personnel deployed and worked in full coordination.
Macron: - We need better coordination between international organizations and civil society organizations in the field of aid delivery to Lebanon.

- We seek to provide support to health and hospital centers to cope with the effects of the explosion.

- We affirm that the support takes place within the framework that we have set, in the direct interest of the people.

- We are enhancing our capabilities and accompanying the reconstruction of Beirut port for the benefit of the Lebanese people. Non-governmental organizations are doing a distinguished job in coordination with France. We should not give in to the ease of work.

- We have to rebuild the damaged buildings and institutions with all transparency and speed, with all security and safety requirements. This is part of the reforms and we will work to preserve the heritage.
