President Aoun: - We have proposed compromise solutions, but they have not been accepted by the two parties; resorting to the constitutional texts and respecting them remains the solution in which there is neither a winner nor a loser.

- There have been four visits of the PM-designate, and he was unable to provide us with any conception, formation, or distribution of portfolios and names.

- Issues have not been solved, which can be summarized as that Adib does not want to take into account the opinion of heads of blocs on naming the ministers, and he proposes a comprehensive rotation.
President Aoun, on the allocation of the Finance ministry:

- The Development and Liberation bloc and the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc insist on having the Finance ministry and on naming its minister as well as all of the other Shiite ministers.

- The Constitution does not state the allocation of any ministry to any sect or party, nor can any minister be granted authority that is not stated in the Constitution.

- [However] it is not permissible to exclude parliamentary blocs from the government formation process, because these blocs are the ones that will grant or withhold confidence in Parliament, even if the lineup is limited to the signature of the PM-designate and the President.

- It is not permissible to impose ministers and portfolios by a team on others, especially since it does not have the majority in Parliament.
President Aoun: - The investigation into Beirut port explosion requires time in order to uncover the people involved.

President Aoun, when asked what will happen if no government is formed: "We [Lebanese] are going to hell"
Opinion: When Aoun said we are going to hell, he is saying the truth.

Don't be scared, but before 1975 it all started with political parties creating their own scouts. The scout training was used to mask military training.

When the economy crumbles with no government, it will be hell. Scouts already started to pop up again.
Truth being told, on October 22, 1989, on the night of the ratification of the Taif Agreement, General Michel Aoun commented:

“This agreement will lead the people to hell.”

He repeated those words today.

Jumblatt to MTV: Aoun has no right to say that we are going to hell; I am a supporter of the settlement, and "when the storm blows, we must lean". https://t.co/EWQseAe4IT
Jumblatt to MTV: I called Hariri from Paris, and it was not positive; Berri told me that he is pressured to keep the Finance Ministry with the Shiite community [Find it it's his right to name his ministers].
Jumblatt to MTV: Neither the United States nor Iran want a government, and the US sanctions did not weaken Hezbollah, but rather Lebanon; I say to Sheikh Qablan, "It is not the time" to demand changing the Taif Agreement and I say the same thing to Patriarch Rahi.
