Some of those tribes even sold weapons to the Syrian rebels in the early days of the Syrian war.

And earlier in the 1990's Hezbullah clashed with Al Jaafar clan and since then they are foes.
The only solution is the Lebanese army performing its duties there.

These tribes always had weapons, but with drug business and smuggling they became richer and with more money more weapons came. Full families became wanted and the lawlessness became rampant.
It's a very serious situation and it's getting worse by the day.

Hezbullah can't confront then due to the tribal code of those families and they can't risk a Shia - Shia clash.

The Lebanese army is the only one that can make a difference, but they seem to not care.
When was the last time did we hear about a weed farm being destroyed like the early 2000's?

When was the last time did we hear the security forces arrested drug lords? They are all known.

When was the last time they actually stopped smuggling in large amounts?
