Today, Nasrallah will give a speech at 8:30PM
Lebanon received today 2 field hospital from Qatar
Ministry of Health: 1,922 new cases of coronavirus and 14 new deaths were registered.
Nasrallah's speech begins.
🚨Jets over south Lebanon right now during Nasrallah's speech.
-Nasrallah: Today, we commemorate Hezbollah's Martyr Day. First, I will discuss this occasion, then I will discuss other issues -- Isr-Lb maritime border discussions, last IDF military maneuver, US election/impact, US policy re:Lebanon and sanctions, domestic situation
-Nasrallah: We chose this day to remember all our martyrs because of the momentous event that happened on this day in 1982, when the prince of martyrs Ahmad Qassir penetrated IDF HQ, killing 100 Israeli soldiers. This was the biggest operation in history of Arab-Israeli conflict
-Nasrallah: For one person to inflict that many casualties on the Israelis, killing generals and other high-ranking officers, makes it unprecedented. We remember Sharon's blackened face on that day.
-Nasrallah: We hope that one day another martyr will carry out an even bigger and greater suicide operation against the Israelis. But for now, Ahmad Qassir's operation remains the greatest
-Nasrallah: Now, I want to discuss Israeli-Lebanese maritime border demarcation. I consider this also a product of the sacrifices of the martyrs and the resistance
-Nasrallah: On May 25, 2000, I said very clearly, we in the Resistance don't get involved in border demarcation, maritime or land. We don't define Lebanese territory and then define it. This is the responsibility of the State
-Nasrallah: The Lebanese state defines maritime, land borders, and Resistance adheres to this, and views this as its duty - alongside Army, people - to defend this land, and if any of such land remains occupied, then it is our duty to liberate it. This is our old stance
-Nasrallah: We haven't changed this stance, and which is unrelated to any developments or changes in the country
-Nasrallah: After 2000, Lebanon indirectly tried to negotiate disputed points on the land border between Lebanon and Israel. They negotiated and regained large areas of Lebanese territories that Israel wanted to continue to occupy. Resistance didn't intervene
-Nasrallah: Resistance didn't sit there and say this hill or that territory are part of Lebanon. We sat on the side. It's the Lebanese state which said Shebaa Farms, Kafrchouba hills, Ghajar are Lebanese
-Nasrallah: Then the maritime issue arose, because natural resources are there, especially in the southern area. Foreign companies wanted to come and invest, but needed legal guarantees, this, along w/Lebanese needs, led Lebanese state to need to demarcate the maritime border
-Nasrallah: We supported this effort to demarcate Lebanese waters, so that the exploitation blocks could be clear, and foreign companies could come and invest
-Nasrallah: All we demanded was that the negotiations would be indirect, about the technical matter itself only, and would not lead to anything else [like peace or normalization]
-Nasrallah: When the results arrive in Parliament or the gov't, and we have legislators or ministers, then we'll give our opinion as members of gov't, but until then we are not commenting on this
-Nasrallah: Recently, the Americans became very interested in mediating the border demarcation. I won't get into their reasons. At that time, Nabih Berri created the framework for negotiations w/Israel, and these negotiations have begun. Today there was meeting in Naqoura
-Nasrallah: Since Berri declared negotiations, many political parties, media - especially Gulf media - began trying to connect the maritime border negotiations w/the regional normalization agreements w/Israel
-Nasrallah: Many said that Amal and Hezbollah's approval of maritime border negotiations would pave path for Israeli-Lebanese normalization. This is all empty talk.
-Nasrallah: We stressed this was a technical matter, to be handled indirectly. Only.
-Nasrallah: Even more ridiculous, there were those saying there were secretive US-Iranian negotiations -- which is false and never happened in Trump era -- and Israeli-Lebanese maritime border negations were an outgrowth. This is also false.
-Nasrallah: Others even spoke of secret Hezbollah-Israel negotiations, Iranian officials visiting Israel, Hamas and Assad negotiations w/Israel. This is nonsense which wants to give a smokescreen for the traitors who are normalizing w/Israel
-Nasrallah: These are lies and fantasies, and Hezbollah doesn't need to release a statement denying this, because if we did so we'd be dignifying this type of news
-Nasrallah: Our stance on Israel is clear, and we repeat it on all occasions, particularly on Quds Day -- Israel, from an ideological perspective, is an illegal, cancerous, demonic entity. This won't change w/time. Israel is just a band of criminal settler gangs
-Nasrallah: We will never sanction peace or normalization agreements w/Israel. Only technical negotiations to secure Lebanese rights, like prisoners, border demarcation, etc.
-Nasrallah: On this topic, we never had any problem w/President Michel Aoun leading these negotiations, despite some disagreements over minor details
-Nasrallah: In that regard, we disagreed w/President Aoun on composition of negotiating team -- we wanted all Lebanese delegation to be military, and Israeli delegation to likewise be military. We didn't want to leave any room for doubts.
-Nasrallah: We couldn't come to an agreement w/President Aoun on this issue, who insisted he wants technical advisors in the delegation. So we issued our statement and declared our position on this.
-Nasrallah: We confirm our trust in Aoun and his lead on these negotiations, and we trust that the Lebanese delegation will maintain the right amount of caution.
-Nasrallah: What's important for us is that Lebanon regains all of its rights
-Nasrallah: We need our negotiation team to know they are negotiating from a position of strength. Just as Lebanon needs to resolve these negotiations to exploit natural resources, so does Israeli enemy
-Nasrallah: We have our rights, we are strong, and we must get our rights from a position of strength
-Nasrallah: Now, I want to discuss most recent IDF exercise, which lasted from Sunday and ended Thursday. I won't get into details, but I will say the following
-Nasrallah: This was a huge military exercise, which covered South Lebanon and Golan, which IDF considers one front. Similar maneuver happened in 2017.
-Nasrallah: Much conjecture that the IDF would exploit presence of forces, readiness to carry out some action in Lebanon or Syria
-Nasrallah: I want to quickly comment. One primary goal of maneuver was to repel Resistance forces who had entered northern Israel, regain territory seized by Hezbollah. This is the accomplishment of the martyrs.
-Nasrallah: When the Israeli enemy lays down such a primarily defensive plan in 2017, and repeats this in 2020 -- this is proof that Hezbollah has pushed Israel from the position of attack to defense
-Nasrallah: In the past, the Israeli calculus was that they could invade Lebanon w/ a musical band. Now, the Resistance has changed the outlook of Israel to Lebanon. They've moved to defensive thinking, and destructive action in Lebanon w/planes/artillery, but not invasion.

-Nasrallah: This is very important for us to know, because it allows us to make accurate calculus when dealing w/parity of forces, and how that impacts border negotiations, etc.

-Nasrallah: Kochavi's insistence on carrying out this exercise even if 1,000 IDF soldiers got COVID-19 is indication that IDF ground troops are suffering from a deep crisis -- readiness, morally, spiritually, readiness to sacrifice, to move forward, etc.

-Nasrallah: IDF officers are trying to reassure their ground troops that they can advance safely. This is a true crisis in Israeli ground troops.

-Nasrallah: We know Israeli naval power is limited. In 2006, we took their naval forces out of equation w/one missile. We don't underestimate the IAF. It's one of the strongest in the region, but that is not a guarantee of the Zionist project in the region or the Usurper Entity

-Nasrallah: All recent experiences demonstrate conclusively that air forces alone can't guarantee victory. Ground forces alone can create decisive victory or defend properly, and this is something we can build upon.
🚨 42-Nasrallah: One last thing I want to say is that some Resistance units were on alert while the IDF maneuver was underway, and we wanted the Israelis to know this -- so that if they thought to carry out any stupidity, we'd retaliate immediately.

-Nasrallah: We did this quietly so as not to terrify Lebanese citizens.

-Nasrallah: A parallel readiness occurred in Syria, to send the Israeli enemy a clear message
-Nasrallah: Now, the US elections, as it relates to us, our peoples, our region, etc.

-Nasrallah: The whole world is following US elections, and this is natural because they will impact the entire world.

-Nasrallah: Based on campaigns, media rhetoric, speeches by candidates -- unprecedented revelation of situation in US. And everyone must take not, because US is a problem for the entire world, both its allies and enemies

-Nasrallah: Many would hold up US to us as an example to be emulated in our region. So let us look at this example and assess whether we should emulate it.

-Nasrallah: Economically, financially, public debt -- we talk about debt here? Look at debt in US. Look at the living situation in large US cities, people living in tents, without social safety net, huge COVID cases, muscular/psychological diseases, addiction,

-Nasrallah: Huge numbers of people in jail, unbridled racism, etc.. This is America they hold up to us as an example. These are their own statistics about their problems (he's qouting Biden)
-Nasrallah: The second part is exposure of American democracy as a sham, which they hold up to us. Look at Trump, and it's not Trump alone but the entire Republican party officially is adopting Trump's battle to not recognize election results. What kind of democracy is this?

-Nasrallah: Trump wants to deny the results of the election, mail-in ballots, and that's the entire Republican party -- not just a crazy man. So don't hold America over our heads. It's not an exemplar of democracy or rights, even internally
-Nasrallah: Regarding the new @JoeBiden administration -- the US policy in our region is Israeli. Meaning, US wants to guarantee Israeli supremacy, permanence, power, etc.

-Nasrallah: Whether's it Bush or Biden, they race to strengthen and empower Israel. So, from our position, there's no difference, even if their policies vis-a-vis Russia, China may change.

-Nasrallah: But regarding the Islamic and Arab world, the US has one or a primary goal: Israeli supremacy and power
-Nasrallah: I don't think Biden will reverse Trump's position on Jerusalem. Perhaps there will be differences on settlements, two state-solution, but even there the goal is to guarantee Israeli supremacy.

-Nasrallah: When you look at Trump's admin, it's the worst or one of the worst in American history - in terms of how they treated their allies, their criminality, terrorism, etc.

-Nasrallah: For 4 yrs, Trump kept world on razor edge of war -- w/North Korea, China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, etc. He strengthened the blockade, increased intervention in foreign countries

-Nasrallah: The good thing about Trump admin is that he showed the true face of the United States. His predecessors tried to mask this and sanitize it.
-Nasrallah: of course, Trump failed in everything he tried. He failed to break the will of the Palestinian people.

-Nasrallah: I told you before, Trump's Deal of the Century rested on 3 legs. Trump, who God willing is on his way out or may take America w/him. Netanyahu is in worst position of his life. MBS is also in hot water if Biden remains committed to his election promises

-Nasrallah: So Deal of Century is out, Palestinians weren't broken. Iran, Syria weren't broken. Iraqis weren't broken despite daily attempts to destabilize their lives. Venezuela and North Korea didn't cave either. So he failed.
-Nasrallah: On a personal level, I'm very happy of Trump's humiliating downfall, particularly over his crime - his crime of the century -- in killing Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. So no one can blame us for being personally happy for his humiliating defeat

-Nasrallah: Now, the Biden administration will be tamer than Trump -- which means that, if we held up under the Trump admin which was more uncontrolled, then we can handle anything, and America isn't a decreed fate. Our people can stand up to them and be victorious.

-Nasrallah: Now, regarding the last two months of Trump's administration. Many in Pentagon, Pelosi expressed fear that after Trump fired Esper, his actions in next 2 months became more unpredictable. I don't know what he'll do, but anything is possible
