Он был доставлен в Ливан, а затем на авиабазу Хамат, где его забрал самолёт командования специальных операций ВВС США C-146A Wolfhound.
В 2012 году сирийские боевики передали его военным в обмен на своих пленных (по другой информации продали). О том что от этой сделки получила Сирия информации пока нет.
