🇮🇱🇲🇦 It seems the Moroccan military has deployed its Israeli drones in Western Sahara. The picture above reportedly from today of an IAI Heron reconnaissance drone, in the occupied city of Dakhla, southern Western Sahara.

These were acquired through a Moroccan-Israeli $48m arms deal.

🚨 News regarding the Lebanese army and the USA influence in it:

Less than a month away from today, the army's intelligence chief, Brigadier General Tony Mansour, is referred to retirement. So far, the Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, has not given up on the idea. He is demanding the extension of Mansour, in any legal form possible (summons from the reserve, postponement of dismissal ...). The effort of the Army Commander and the Director of Intelligence collides with the refusal of the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, for an extension, for three reasons: (Part 1)

The first is that he is against the extension of the security and military jobs.

Second, there is no need to extend it for Mansour, in light of the presence of other officers who are able to take over the Intelligence Directorate. Any extension means manipulating the military hierarchy.

The third is that the extension of Mansour himself is not desirable, politically, for what Aounists see as a "coup" from him against the political team that sponsored his arrival to the Intelligence Directorate, regardless of the accuracy of this reading. (Part 2)

In all cases, the army commander needs, legally, to be signed by the Minister of Defense for the extension decision, and to the opinion of the President. The "leader" is feeling in a good position on the basis of the unlimited American support for Mansour.

The support comes from two American sides that sponsor the "current era" in the army: the Central Command in the American army and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

During the era of the duo Joseph Aoun-Tony Mansour, the American influence in the military establishment reached a level it had never reached. (Part 3)

The problem is that the issue of whether to extend Mansour or not is being discussed today as an administrative, military, security, and political matter. But no one has approached it in terms of the US influence in the army, and the need to "vaccinate" the military against the epidemic that is killing it.

Unfortunately, Mansour is one of the symbols of this plagued relationship between the Lebanese army on the one hand, and the US army and the CIA on the other side. Failure to extend it should be a door to restoring balance to this relationship. (END)

🇮🇱 The next IDF Deputy Chief of Staff has been chosen: Maj.-Gen. Hertzi Halevi who is currently serving as the Head of the Southern Command. He will replace Maj.-Gen. Eyal Zamir.

He is a very experienced officer who served in Lebanon (1985-2000) and every single Israeli Battle that came after that.
