I have heard people in the NRx sphere claim "the Cathedral" is anti-Israel. If so then why will it cast aside someone as prominent as Cornel West for criticising Israel?

The Cathedral supports both Palestine and Israel but in different ways. For instance, left-wing pro-Palestine groups which are centered around anti-colonialism, Marxism and pro-CCP rhetoric are a part of the Cathedral.

Israel itself is hard to categorize, but its global apparatus including B'nai B'rith, the ADL, AIPAC, AJC etc. Are certainly a part of the Cathedral. You often see Wall street and wealthy Jews bankrolling both the Palestinian and Israel sides.

I believe the grassroots pro-Palestinian movement has not been subverted but large factions who've historically supported the Soviet Union are certainly a Cathedral asset and should be weeded out.

According to Ben Shapiro, you can bash America, white people, and help fund the destruction of the US. But for him the line gets drawn when you offend his real country, Israel.
