1. Plato's Timaeus and Critias is first on the list for a reason. Regarding the topic of Atlantis and lost ancient civilizations, it is almost universally lauded as the most comprehensive, direct, and detailed account which has survived to reach us from ancient times. The Edfu Temple building texts would arguably be the next most important source, second only to Plato's writings.
