Hyperborea and Thule are both just different mythic recollections of Atlantis. This happens a lot in folk memory and mythology. Different dim recollections of the same thing (a place or a god, or an event, etc.) being mistaken for distinct things. (The etymological connection between “Atlantis” and “Thule” can still be seen, though, when you write “Thule” how it is pronounced, namely Tulla, and drop the Greek “tis” from Atlantis: “Atullan.”) Also “Hyperborea” is NOT an island continent in the (current) North polar region (there isn’t any such). That’s a confusion from when the North and South poles were reversed, long ago. Hyperborea (Atlantis, Thule) is Antarctica. It is also the place that in Iranian mythology is called “Aryanem Vaejeh,” where Jamshid built his “var” (underground survivors settlement) before the place froze over.
