Two compelling short films will be screened this Saturday,12 July 2025, at Century Mall from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with an entrance fee of 200 birr.
The lineup includes "Alazar and His Family," a film by Samuel Guta, showcasing his distinct vertical formalist style, and "The Apple," directed by Yabsra Desalegn and featuring a performance that reflects a strong grasp of cinematic language.
Both films feature the cinematography of Yonathan Dawit, known for his self-expressionist approach rooted in black-and-white self-portrait photography, with carefully crafted composition and lighting.
Attendees are also invited to participate in a discussion with the filmmakers following the screenings.
