An open-air cinema experience will be held at Meskel Square on Sunday, 22 March 2026.

The event will feature a large outdoor screen and sound system, creating a family-friendly movie atmosphere with food and music available for attendees.

Doors open at 2:00 PM, and the movie will start at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased via Telebirr, and guests are encouraged to bring blankets or gabi for comfort during the screening.

The ‘Kibir’ International Women’s Day Film Festival, organized by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), will take place on 8 March 2026, at Videobet Cinema.

The event will feature a panel discussion with Meaza Ashenafi, protagonist of the narrative feature film Difret; Zeresenay Berhane Mehari, director of Difret; Bethelihem Birhane, screenwriter and producer of the feature film Hidote; and Samuel Teshager, writer, producer, and director of Hidote.

The festival is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Entry is free; however, RSVP is required due to limited seating capacity.
