The ‘Kibir’ International Women’s Day Film Festival, organized by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), will take place on 8 March 2026, at Videobet Cinema.

The event will feature a panel discussion with Meaza Ashenafi, protagonist of the narrative feature film Difret; Zeresenay Berhane Mehari, director of Difret; Bethelihem Birhane, screenwriter and producer of the feature film Hidote; and Samuel Teshager, writer, producer, and director of Hidote.

The festival is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Entry is free; however, RSVP is required due to limited seating capacity.

The fourth edition of Her Story returns as an annual group exhibition showcasing the work and perspectives of women artists.

This year’s exhibition is dedicated to Birtukan Midekssa and features works by Alexandra Mitiku, Blen Deress, Fikirte Ayana, Miheret Eshetu, Nina Urgessa, Raphealla Fekadu, Ruth Eskinder, and Ruth Getachew.

It opens on 7th March 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Space Ethiopia Gallery, located at Ethiopost HQ on Churchill Avenue, and will run until March 31, with visiting hours from Monday to Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

According to the artist, the collection features works that explore themes of curiosity, departure, and the complexities of leaving a familiar environment.

The Embassy of France in Ethiopia and the Alliance Ethio-Française Addis Ababa will host an evening dedicated to the Éthiopiques record collection.

The event focuses on the cultural impact and history of Ethiopian popular music from the mid-20th century.

This event will feature Film Screening, A presentation of Éthiopiques: Revolt of the Soul, a documentary directed by Maciek Bochniak. And ​Q&A Session, A discussion featuring Francis Falceto, the producer responsible for the Éthiopiques series, who will provide context on the collection's development and legacy.

It is scheduled to take place on 11 March 2026 At Alliance Ethio-Française, Piassa Braanch, starting from 6:30 pm.
