Kayn Lab: A Night of Ethiopian Jazz at Fendika@Hyatt

Every Monday night at 9:00 PM, Fendika@Hyatt hosts Kayn Lab, offering a captivating Ethiopian jazz experience. These talented musicians have been performing at the Fendika Cultural Center since March 2016, bringing years of expertise and passion to the stage.

Guests are invited to arrive early, with doors opening at 7:00 PM for dinner before the concert begins. Following the main performance, there is an open mic jam session, providing an opportunity for aspiring musicians to perform on the venue’s newly designed stage.

Great Rift Valley Innovation Summit Highlights Ethiopian Startups

Powered by Dereja and Ease, the Great Rift Valley Innovation Summit kicked off yesterday, focusing on "Empowering Homegrown Solutions through Innovative Entrepreneurship." Industry leaders, startup founders and investors gathered to discuss Ethiopia’s startup ecosystem.

Keynote speaker Tsegamlak Solomon shared insights on the recently drafted Ethiopian Startup Proclamation, followed by Dagmawit Shiferaw’s talk on attracting investors. A panel featuring local founders explored early-stage challenges, and a startup pitch session wrapped up the day.

The summit continues today with more keynotes, panels, and a pitch competition.
