The St. Patrick’s Day Ball will take place at the Sheraton in Addis on Saturday, 22 March 2025 starting at 6:30 PM. The event will feature dinner, drinks, and dancing, with a dress code encouraging formal attire.

Tickets are available for purchase at designated locations, including the Sheraton and ICS Farmers Market, with options for individual tickets at $130 or 16,500 birr and tables of ten for $1,200 or 150,000 birr.

Payments can be made in US dollars or Ethiopian birr via cash, card, or bank transfer. The event is organized by the Irish Society Ethiopia.

The Italian Cultural Institute will screen Triangle of Sadness on February 28, 2025, at 5:30 PM Italian Cultural Institute. This Swedish film, directed by Ruben Östlund, blends comedy and drama in a satirical exploration of wealth and power dynamics.

The story follows fashion model couple Carl and Yaya, who are invited on a luxury cruise. When the yacht sinks, they find themselves stranded on a deserted island alongside a group of billionaires and a cleaning lady. As they struggle to survive, social hierarchies are overturned, as the cleaning lady is the only one who knows how to fish.

The screening offers free entrance, free popcorn, free beverages, and free parking.
