On 24 April 2025, Habesha Beer held a press conference at Sheraton Addis to announce the launch of the Elele Yale Award, a new cultural recognition platform celebrating Ethiopian professionals and artistic excellence.
With remarks from CEO Omo Ohiwerei, Communication Officer Adane Teka, and cultural leaders including Yonas Berhane Mewa, the event introduced the award’s mission, upcoming categories, and the first Lifetime Achievement honorees.
The award promises to be a new chapter in promoting Ethiopian culture and creativity on a national scale.
